pride of the west
Olly been smoking crack or something? How on earth did he expect heskey to agree £90 a week? Or are the mail not telling the whole story for a change and was in fact offered that plus £10k a game and £20k a goal for instance?
Esmond Million's Bung
90 quid a week for Heskey!! 50 quid a week too much in my opinion.
City Loyal
I may be wrong but I remember when Blackpool wanted Brett before we got him that they only cover minimal expenses throughout pre-season and pay wages during the season.

sglosbcfc
It will be ninety quid a week plus thousands for appearances and goals.
charisma_cider
£90 a week is the minimum guaranteed wage that Blackpool would legally have to pay. Appearance fees etc. would probably have been in the thousands. It's how more footballing contracts should be structured in my opinion.

That would mean less than minimum wage if he was training and playing more than 20 hours a week, not right surely! As for the add ons, well, if he had a couple of bad games or a injury, or ollie decided on a formation that he couldn't squeeze heskey into. I can see why he turned them down. If that is the way Blackpool are going, they will find it difficult to attract players.... Unless every club follows suit.
