I seem to remember not so long ago a Sag came on here saying Matty Taylor was on par with Kodjia, couple of months later nobody wanted Taylor even for F'all and Kodjia goes for £15m15 points

Sorry, this isn't brilliant. I know the teams( and fans) in question aren't too popular on this site but fans of any team shouldn't have to put up with this10 points

Following recent jibes from Rovers' fans about our support, tonight just goes to show the true attendance gap between our two clubs: the last Football League Trophy game we played there were 72,000 there, compared to Rovers' attendance tonight of 1,418.....5 points

Christ, I didn't realise they were messing with the format like this as well. Shame on anyone who attended, this needs to be stopped this season.5 points

Sadly I cannot laugh at Rovers losing to Reading U23's really, its a joke that they are playing them and I hope all of the B teams fail4 points

Agreed. I'm happy to slag them off most the time but fair play to them for joining in the boycott. There looks like some seriously low crowds around tonight. Top work all round. Was funny to see the bloke running checkatrades Twitter account have a meltdown today. Will still be funny to see that lot lose to a youth team mind4 points

Well done the gas beaten at home by Reading kids 2-3, the gift that just keeps giving.3 points

Yep - like our very own Ellis Harrison! Still laugh at that serious post on their forum by the guy who couldn't believe Tammy Abraham chose us over them because of their 'link' with Chelsea - the link being their zillionaire owner supports Chelsea....3 points

That is pathetic - are they seriously that hard up that they need £100 from some shite competition? They'll be busking on Park Street next.3 points

I'm glad we put Swindle in a downward spiral stopping them from going up, their club has never recovered since then.3 points

Surprised they don't have a minute silence on the anniversary every year (Copyright Boris Johnson)2 points

So much for being able to compete in the championship, beaten by Readings U9's in an empty Chernobyl nuclear testing site.2 points

Ye agree . Is a very strange competition this year . Imagine reading u23 v Swansea u23 at Wembley. Ridiculous. Could be us next season. Imagine that Bristol city u23s v Bristol rovers . I don't think that would even be funny. Would it2 points

And yet if half the people moaning (not necessarily you) actually turned up to the old JPT this would never have happened.1 point

What in the name of all that is holy is this pile of steaming dog poo?1 point

So most under 23 sides lose to experienced league starters, yet Reading win....1 point

Whatever the competition Oldham and Carlisle put on a show tonight. Carlisle were 1-0 down, 3-1 up, 4-3 down and finally won it 4-5 with 10 men!1 point

Cost of reduced tickets was a little less than they paid the bloke to throw the big bundle of copper wire towards the transformer...1 point

That`s probably what would have turned out for a JPT 1st round game anyway. We would have only got about 3k.1 point

Darrell has been whining about Swindon charging full prices for the replay. I don't see the problem. I'm sure their trillionaire owner will be able to pay for everyone's ticket. The richest club in the world. Or BS7. Or something.1 point

That is outrageous....still it will explain why the sags don't take their usual 50k away following, cos they sell out every away game don't you know!1 point

We could buy their whole squad, backroom staff and stadium for £15,000,000 and still have what, £14,750,000 left.1 point

Just seeing if the builders had turned up, they said they`d be there Tuesday provided they could get the loft conversion they were working on in Yate finished before the weekend.1 point

We know you haven't Phil and to be honest, your club do deserve some credit for recovering from the worst possible position so quickly. As much it's fun to laugh at you having to struggle out of the Conference, the fact is many other teams have been down there and never recovered. I noticed last night that Stockport lost to FC United of Manchester in the Conference North and was thinking how it is not really that long ago that I was watching the City play them in league 1. Taking the mickey about your promotion only happening in the last minutes of last season is also like moaning about a 93 minute winner in a single game, it still counts. Getting back to league 1 so quickly is a huge achievement for your club. Most of the more sensible commentators on this thread are really just amazed at the gullibility of your fan base, even in this post you say Wael stated from the beginning that he would not throw money at the club, yet at the level that the club is at and with the facilities you have that surely is the only option if you wish to progress. The guy is a part of successful business family and must know this, so the only conclusion can be he doesn't have it to throw. A lot of your fanbase don't seem to have worked this out and still bandy the term "billionaire" around. This is an example of the kind of thing that keeps this thread alive. Look at how they swallowed Higgs' "watertight contract" line in the face of so many points from people with legal backgrounds pointing out that Sainsburys wouldn't be turned over easily. I watch this thread with the same look of bemusement at the antics of your club and fans as I have when watching Rude Tube and thinking "what did you expect to happen when you jumped off a roof into a paddling pool?" Bert Tann comes on here and understands that, he takes the piss in the same way we do about our own club when they do daft things, like we all do with people we love who do daft things. I thought you understood this too until recently, but your recent posts suggest you need to take a step back, look in from the outside a little and understand what motivates us to post in this thread.1 point
