I'm currently staying in a small village in North East Thailand, and bumped into a very serious looking policeman this morning. As foreigners are rarely seen here he asked where I was from. When I said Bristol, England he asked "Blistol Lover?" and didn't look at all happy. "No" I said, "Bristol City", to which his face lit up with a big smile, and shook my hand. It seems the pikeys reputation has travelled far and wide.

I think a better comparison would be Federer vs the number one squash player in a tennis match at Wimbledon. Theoretically a transferable skill set with many parallels, but fundamental differences in technique and positioning make it heavily in Federer's favour. I see your point though.
