  1. Craig Shakespeare

Daft sacking considering since he got the job he has the best record outside the big 6 and the only games they've lost this season are against United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.
  2. The Official Bristol City v Burton Albion Match Day Thread 12

My guess is, it looks a good game to give Elliasson or Leko a chance but not both. Reckon Elliasson has been patient enough. Deserves a start.
  3. City - Joint 3rd highest spenders compared to turnover

    Don't talk sense man...
  4. Golf Memberships

After some advice on Golf memberships! Where do the rest on you fellow golfers play? Who does the best deals? I've been looking at Woodlands mainly because Mangotsfield and Woodspring come under the same group! Kind of 3 for the price of 1. Anyone else have one of these? Any good? Or, are there any other similar memberships that incorporate more than one course/venue? Thanks in advance.
  5. The comparison to last season

Sorry, I meant particular results as in we lost away to so and so last season but beat them this season! Totally agree with stats in relation to players/team in guaging if training programmes/tactics are improving/working. Dont think specific results against specific teams, who may have changed managers/players/tactics/be in a poor run of form etc is IMO an indication of anything.
  6. The comparison to last season

Nicely put together but why do people keep going on about comparisons with last season? It has absolutely no bearing on this season at all. Every season is different! Just enjoy this for what it is, a fantastic start to the season.
  7. October fixtures 17/18 - how will we do?

5pts would be more than satisfactory out of those games. Tough month, saying that every month seems a tough month in this league! Burton 3pts Leeds 1pt Sunderland 1pt Fulham 0pts
  8. At what level have you played football?

My little ones go to Elm Park! Used to be a nightmare playing away games for The Ridings used to get dropped off on the Oval and then a walk back in the dark down through the hilly fields back to Coalpit Heath. Used to scare me witless. Got to ask, how did you manage to break your leg in 6 places playing with the kids
  9. At what level have you played football?

Highcroft is known as Watermore now... I was at Manor early 80's, at Ridings from 87-92!
  10. At what level have you played football?

I went to Manor, a very, very long time ago! Played my first ever competitive game at the age of 8 against Highcroft! Loved that school, very fond memories.
  11. At what level have you played football?

Hellenic League, Western League, Gloucestershire County League, Suburban Prem & Bristol Prem plus 6 years down the Gate going through the Centre of Excellence and Schoolboy before being let go! Good times & great memories.
  12. the elephant in the room.

I'm guessing the powers that be think he can make the step up.
  13. the elephant in the room.

Think I'll give him more than 5 games before making an opinion. Big leap in standard and even bigger in terms of the pace of games in the Championship. On last nights showing though, thought he did well against a very experienced back line and caused problems, good movement, made himself available, didn't really threaten in front of goal but the service wasn't great. On a side note, when he went off and Woodrow came on we lost pretty much all impetus, thought Terry and Chester has Woodrow in their pockets.
  14. The official Bristol City FC v Aston Villa FC match day thread

Decent enough performance. Really need a midfielder who can play the ball about. Seriously lacking there.
  15. The official Bristol City FC v Aston Villa FC match day thread

Terry's reaction tells me it was a pen. No reaction on the first two, that third one, pulled arm straight away, hands went up and nervous look at the ref.
