  1. Favourite ' mistress ' clubs

Born in 73 and my Nan was from Merseyside so grew up supporting Liverpool due to that link, and that they were on the telly a lot. But then in my early teens my step dad took me to a City game, and I was hooked. Never looked back. Still an LFC supporter but as the premiership becomes more and more detached from reality (Sanchez on £450k a week, WTF?) I'm more appreciative than ever that I've got a local team that keeps my football grounded.
  2. Match programmes from Wednesday

I got lucky, went in on Thursday morning and got one. The queue for programs in Wednesday was a mile long and I said to the kids 'don't worry they'll be selling them inside' Sods law I couldn't find a program seller anywhere
  3. County Gates Car Park for United game

Because it's Bristol, and the council is bound to do something inherently stupid to make travel on the day as painful as possible.
  4. Warnock

The way I see it, this how Warnock works. He walks into the changing room of his new club and says: I'm a c#nt Everyone knows I'm a c#nt So now I'm your new manager, everybody now thinks you're all c#nts Everyone in football will now hate us all, so it's backs against the wall, us c#nts together versus the world, so come on you c#nts And don't forget to waste time and dive. YOU C#NTS!
  5. Simon Grayson Sacked

'Arry Redknapp with Crouchy, Kranjcar and Hreidarsson
  6. Simon Grayson Sacked

I suppose it must have been for the money, but I couldn't understand why Grayson would want to leave Preston, where he was doing so well, for Sunderland in the first place. They are a shambles of a club with seemingly clueless owners and an over paid squad of underachievers. Whoever takes it on next won't last the season.
  7. Stupid Things You Say Before A Game....

Looks like the rain is stopping...
  8. Ratings

I think all the low marks for Flint are a bit harsh, Hegeler was so bad that Flint was effectively playing in central defense on his own today. Im not saying he played well, obviously most players were poor today, but the big man wasnt as bad as some scores are saying.
  9. Ref

Well I've slept on it and given last night's game consideration. And I've come to the following constructive and reserved conclusion: He was a total c##t.
  10. Korey Smith injury

It was an all round poor performance and I don't think Pack was noticeably worse or better than anyone else; did they even bother to announce a man of the match? I didn't hear it. I think the midfield 2 out of 3 have all done well so far this season, and if Korey is out we'll cope. Buy fingers crossed he's ok.
  11. Ref

The constant free kicks he gave them allowed them to break up our play and not gain any momentum, and the time wasting was horrendous. They obviously worked him out early on and took full advantage of it. His performance was completely inept, I've seen plenty of bad refs at the Gate over the years but he truly was shocking.
  12. Games on Christmas eve (Merged)

I'm not even that keen on Boxing Day games if I'm honest, after all the fuss and faff for Xmas Eve/day I'd rather just chill out. However if it's at home I won't miss it, so I'll be there for the Reading game. But there is no way in hell I'd go to a game on Xmas Eve.
  13. The midfield

For me, the midfield suffered last night because of the timing of our substitutions. Bringing on 2 subs in the 86th minute meant our starting four were tired, plus the subs simply didn't have enough time to have an effect on the game. We could have brought the wingers on much earlier and attacked Terry etc with pace. I'm no manager but to me both subs were a token gesture, and LJ needs to rethink this side of his game management.
  14. 4 year old 1st game on Saturday

Back pack ban? I've missed that, does any one have any details on that they could share please.
