  1. The Totally Football League Show

John, I can't wait until 21st August! Is there a link or will I have to go iPlayer Ch5?
  2. International Recognition of a Kind

As you're fluent in French, what's French for cul-de-sac.....?
  3. Another mystery of life solved

If you've problems with your 'biscuit' going soft in the middle, stirring some Viagra into the tea may help.
  4. City players at school

Was the sports teacher Jim ...? i recall Keith Fear being in the school team, never good enough myself but there until '71. Mr Parry the French teacher, Mr Plant - the biology teacher etc. When they moved to Daventry Rd it was just around the corner, too late for me then.
  5. Don't you just hate the ...

It's almost as bad as the when burglars stole my bookcase full of dictionaries and thesaurus. I was lost for words......
  6. City vs Manchester - Dustbin Thread (merged)

It's a tough call to discriminate but necessary I think, even from my perspective. City fan since watching Chris Crowe, Alan Skirton et al plying their trade at the Gate, STH for a number of years in Grandstand. Financial restraints - i.e. family, meant money and time not always available for supporting City. Been to lots of random games as POTD and only bought my Forever Bristol membership the day of the Leeds game (as I was getting more regular visitor so looking to save cash), but no history on the card........ I guess it's just tough luck but if tickets are not available to me, if anyone has a heart AND a spare ticket, I'm your man, please!
  7. FA to investigate flares at AG

A few years ago at Cardiff in a Wales v Romania World Cup game a guy was killed by some lunatic firing a distress flare horizontally across the ground. Hopefully the flares being thrown these days aren't the same sort and can only be thrown, not self propelled, but it could have someone's eye out....! https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/appeal-court-to-review-rocket-death-sentences-1449897.html%3famp
  8. Do you have to use the allocated turnstiles?

Considering the number of posts you've made I'm amazed you're not a regular at AG and already know this? The answer as per previous posts is yes, enter anywhere but potentially stewards may wish to check your ticket before you attempt to enter the block where your seat is.
  9. Stormy Weather Forecast for Leeds Match

I couldn't afford the EE, had to watch from under the Hospital Broadcast Box in the Open End. First we knew about a goal was the cheer.
  10. Embarrassed by your weak bladder?

I was in W16 sat alongside people who brought drinks into the area (not me..), the only reason they got in is there was no one at the entrance to stop them so despite probably knowing the rules, they took advantage of the situation. To be fair, steward no 10 did allow the people concerned to drink up - very quickly, so it wasn't actually thrown away or were they ejected. There were plenty of people in that area though who also seemed intent on getting their 10000 steps a day in by walking to and from the toilets, two in particular always went together... i actually noticed it a lot more last night as I was sat closer to the exit and a lot lower row which made it difficult to see past the people who lingered at the exit.
  11. Bologna FC shirt price

It may be a momento of your travels today but.... next season it'll be different and you may feel obliged to once again buy the latest replica shirt? I know it all helps club revenue but the reality is not everyone either can afford to - or want to buy the latest shirt just to be up to date with it all. Eventually even the most ardent of fans will see through this and stop buying stuff every season. Just how does it contribute into club funds to help buy better players no one can determine, but if it makes you happy then fine.
  12. I'm bored

More to the point what was Captain Hook called before he had his industrial injury?
  13. I'm bored

I'm thinking of doing some painting later so I can watch it dry. It may help speed the day along. Any suggestions on which colour to use or which one dries slowest?
  14. Lee Johnson on Radio 5

I thought they acknowledged we were beaten by Brum?
