Maybe he was signed with an agreed deal for the summer, then it kind of makes sense. It allows him to begin settling at his new club before we tie up the deal. Like Murphy and Stokes he is a kid trying to step up to the mens game, he could still be a very good longterm signing as his pedigree suggests but needs a bit of time developing.

Absolutely delighted and relieved, I hope the team and Liam can kick on with everyone moving in one direction. I was on the verge of calling for his head, but hopefully he's beginning to turn this around and give some faith in his ability to build a successful entertaining football team.

Quite honestly you couldn't make it up, it actually makes me angry and sad to be honest.
