  1. Well said LJ (merged)

Probably because he was busy managing Barnsley and Oldham.
  2. Game of Thrones S7

  3. Obviously we were incredibly poor last night and not up to the test but the three previous performances were fantastic and I'm hoping that last night was just a blip and a bad day for us. I don't think too much can be read into last nights game and we should give the team 10-15 games and then review there. There are some things that need looking at by Johnson and his post match interview annoyed me a bit. Tactically I think we should've changed to a 4-1-4-1 at HT with Reid or Brownhill coming in centrally and the other taking the wide role and Smith dropping off behind the midfield. This would've allowed our wide men to stay close to Brentford's but also give us 3 in middle. I thought Watkins looked class last night and run Pisano ragged at times with some nice turns and cutting in. Brentford are a fantastic side and despite a poor start I still feel they will make the playoffs. We were outclassed and it won't be the first time this happens over the season but we still managed to grab an underserved point. Let's see how the players react on Saturday.
  4. Any links for tonight?

Someone streamed the Brum game on the City till I die Facebook group so hopefully they do this one too. Just try to avoid reading the comments and posts on there.
  5. Next Round Draw

Are we definitely home? This guy going the draw kept calling the red ball away when it was home, not sure what we got as I wasn't paying attention
  6. Excited

Certainly looking good so far this season but, using a phrase that LJ and JMc like to use, the acid test is when we come up against good opposition. I don't necessarily mean teams like Middlesbrough or Villa, but teams that are good defensively and can break quickly in numbers. With our full backs pushing up we are prone to counter attacks and are left open. It happened once last night where we were caught 2-on-2 after losing the ball with everyone forward from open play, I think something similar happened against Barnsley when Bryan slipped over in the first half(?). Playing some good football with some very talented players. Don't think I've ever been so excited about watching City play for a long time. Onwards and upwards.
  7. Eliasson Signs!

    In the Lansdown stand watching
  8. Poor team

Not sure what the point of your post is but the main reason I'm going tonight is to watch our youngsters or players who don't play often; players like Engvall, Kelly, Moore, Lucic, Vyner. If we want to develop our own players then playing them in cup games is a good way. If we are going to play our first team I'd doubt I'd actually go as I'd expect us to sweep them a side but it's a chance to see our youngsters play.
  9. Sound of the City (Merged)

Still none the wiser to if he calls them daps or stans or whatever. The new media guy should ask it as their first question.
  10. Nathan Baker - SIGNING CONFIRMED

Wright usually plays on the right but he's been filling in on the left. He's left foot is pretty poor. I imagine this means he will move over to the right and Baker will come in on the left. Then we have Mags and Moore/Hegeler/Vyner as back up if needed
  11. Fc Twentye friendly

If they selected for them to be sent the e-ticket so they can print it at home and they didn't print it or forgot to bring it then yes.
  12. Fc Twentye friendly

If you bought them online but forgot/didn't print them so need the club to do it then they will but at a price of £5. At least that's how I read it.
  13. Eliasson Signs!

Since LJ came in he seems to know a lot more, especially now he's not part of the Bristol Post. I think I remember him saying that he and LJ were working on something together (may have heard this wrong though).
  14. Eliasson Signs!

I suppose this is why we try to keep things under wrap as much as possible. Mousset last season, and now this guy. One positive is that we are obviously looking at some good players if the likes of Bournmouth and Lyon are interested. Apparently Famara rejected better offers to join us so we're obviously good at selling the club and area to players, you never know what could happen though.
  15. BCFC TV games/entertainment/behind the scenes

Just watched it while on lunch. I'm glad the break room was empty so I didn't have to hold back the laughter. Aden said 'Blonde hair, looks like Deano' to which Marlon replied with 'Shirley from Eastenders'
