Me and @Bobby Reid's Mate are in
  3. OTIB 'get together'....

We'll probably need a poll to determine if she can attend or not...
  4. Text Score Notifications?

Get the bet365 app. Notifications are practically instant (2-3 seconds after the event) and you can choose which notifications you receive for each game from the following list: Full time result, goals, half time result, kick off, red cards, yellow cards, corners, penalties, penalties missed, subs.
  5. Good post / thread. It'd be great if you did one of these for every game

  7. This Penalty nonsense...

I think a simple but effective rule change would be to split penalty decisions as they are now into two categories, goal scoring and non goal scoring, and award different fouls accordingly: If a player is brought down in a clear goal scoring opportunity / if a handball denies a clear goal scoring opportunity, then award a penalty. If a player is fouled in the box running away from goal / if the ball clips a players hand on the edge of the box, neither of which represent a clear goal scoring opportunity, then a direct freekick is awarded on the edge of the box in line with where the foul occurred. The debate would then turn to whether it was a clear goal scoring opportunity or not but the idea of this already exists in last man / red card decisions. The rule in its current state isn't fit for purpose IMO and is ruining games with all this diving and deceiving referees.
  8. Colin Murray

I watched it a week or two ago where it was some woman and Dave Edwards (who has no character whatsoever) presenting and it was dreadful. The woman was reading off an iPad the entire time and Edwards was just reeling off footballing cliches whilst maintaining a cheesy fake smile for the entirety of the show. Much much better this week with Colin back on, and I though Clinton Morrison was good value too.
  9. Flint. We've seen how important Fammy has been for us in the last couple of games, just gives us that extra dimension to our play and stops us being so one dimensional and predictable. Bobby's hot streak earlier in the season came whilst playing alongside Fammy and with the partnership they have I certainly wouldn't want to lose Bobby either. Joe Bryan is probably our biggest asset and most talented player and it would be devastating if we lost him now. People don't generally consider Pack as a key player for us but I do. We don't have anyone else in the squad that can play his role and I do think we'd fall apart a bit if he moved on. Back to Flint, I think we were resigned to losing him in the summer and Baker was brought in as his replacement, with the view of a Baker-Wright 1st choice partnership for the season. Yes Flint has been immense for us and I'd be sad to see him go but I believe with the squad we have we'd be able to finish the season at a similar level to where we are now, whereas I think losing any other of our key players could be a real blow to our chances.
  10. QPR's Keith Stroud - What a Thunderc.....! (NSFW)

    What an absolute bellend
  11. Bristol Rovers Dustbin Thread

It happens fairly often now that clubs buy players at the value of the release clause, and was happening long before we bought MT. The release clause is confidential so long as the player wants it remain confidential. Once MT decided he was leaving the agent was free to disclose said information to any interested clubs. The fact they reported us to the FA just screams bitterness and I can never decide which is more funny between that incident and when they reported Wycombe after they were relegated out the football league. Pathetic.

'Our new crest #MOT #LUFC 6 months of research 10,000 people consulted' Surely not??
  13. From relegation to promotion contenders

Cardiff lost 4 on the bounce but have bounced back and are now 2 points off autos. Derby haven't had a bad spell yet but it'll come. We're in our bad spell now, so long as we get out of it quickly we'll be alright. The fixtures ease up after Derby too.

  15. Where should I live?

Can anyone here shed some light on the Whitchurch / Hengrove area? You seem to be able to get a lot more for your money around there, is there anything in particular driving house prices down? Someone told me the schools weren't great which would certainly contribute.
