  1. OSIB first episode up

@Shtanley @KevinWellRed Great listen lads. I wasn't expecting much if I'll be honest with you, but in the end I was pleasantly surprised! Both of you are likeable hosts / presenters and I love the 'couple of mates down the pub' vibe. Echoing what's been said above, I think the time capsule and player spotlight are fantastic ideas. I can't even find any bad points really. Didn't have a problem with it being over an hour, I'm impressed you managed to talk that long if anything. Maybe just research the numbers a bit more. I'm not saying turn it into a stats show where you're blurting out percentages and figures every 30 seconds as that would ruin the casual nature of the discussion, but there were a couple of times where you stated a point and followed it up with "I'm not sure what the numbers are". Just a suggestion. I look forward to seeing how the podcast develops and interested to see what effect the third host / special guest has.
  2. Marvin Elliott

    Don't start him off again!!
  3. Albie & Little (Merged)

What an assist from Mark for the first goal. That was what he was so good at doing in that season, before he got his shoulder injury. He never seemed to be able to put his head down and drive forward quite the same once he came back. Can never fault the effort he put in though. Both top players
  4. Jens Hegeler

Rubbish. What tune is this to? Doesn't even rhyme...
  5. Next 5 League Games

Who'd have thought we would get 9 points from these 5 games. Absolutely incredible! Roll on Bolton
  6. Dolman PA (Merged)

How long ago was that? 60/12 + 176/365?
  7. New Goal GIFs! (Merged)

I know that the most recent issue for @Dollymarie is apparently Lisa had a large part to do with Tim Shires sacking, but I believe Dolly had issues with her long before that. Say what you like about the woman but she certainly interviews well, can tell she's had a good background. A breath of fresh air compared to our usual media team (no offence to Mark and Adam of course).
  8. Metro today.

Now I finally know what S.B.C stands for
  9. Another Bobby Reid thread

This probably isn't the right thread to ask this but I thought I would seeing as you've already praised LJ regarding his coaching of Bobby. What are your thoughts on LJ now? You were one of the biggest and loudest critics of his last season but you've clearly come into this season with an open find as I've seen you praise him multiple times. Myself I'm still on the fence. I'm enjoying how we're playing at the moment, I can see we look a lot more solid at the back and I like that we've finally got a clear system which will undoubtedly help the players. However, I'm still so apprehensive of what will happen when we inevitably hit a poor run of form. LJ is clearly able to maintain an in form team as we saw at either end of last season, but he still has question marks over his ability to turn around a losing team and this is my biggest worry. The apparent lack of a plan B is linked to this. I'm a big fan of JMC from everything I've seen so far, and his introduction coincided nicely with our poor run ending (which you highlighted on another thread) so hopefully his abilities and skills have helped fill an area where LJ was lacking. As for Bobby, unbelievable season so far, more of the same please!
  10. Motty

As you know, sheepskin coat wearing commentating legend John Motson is hanging up the microphone at the end of the season. We got plenty of Motty memories in our Sportsday Live special yesterday, and here's one from Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah. The former Bristol City player credits Motty with helping him make his name in the game. "I was sponsored by John Motson, the Match of the Day commentator," Adomah told the Birmingham Mail. "That's his local side, Barnet. When I used to play for them he sponsored me because he liked me and I think he wanted to contribute to his local side."
  11. At what level have you played football?

My 5 a side team has won the top Sunday evening league at Goals Bristol South 3 seasons in a row. The league is desperately lacking quality, there's only us and another team that can really play. If any of you have a decent team in need of a new league please sign up!
  12. Information for Reading (Merged)

Can anyone who's been before advise on what parking is like around the ground?
  13. Your favourite film quotes

More of a speech than a quote but love it all the same: "So, you're obviously the big dick. And there on either side of you are your balls. There are two types of balls. There are big, brave balls, and there are little, mincy faggot balls. You dicks have driving clarity of vision. But they're not clever; they smell pussy, and they want a piece of the action. And you thought you smelled some good ol' pussy, and have brought your two little, mincey, faggot balls along for a good ol' time. But you've got your parties muddled up. There's no pussy here- just a dose that will make you wish you were born a women. Like a *****, you're having second thoughts. You're shrinking, and your two little balls are shrinking with ya. And the fact that you've got "Replica" written on the side of your guns. And the fact that I've got "Desert Eagle .50" written on the side of mine, should precipitate your balls into shrinking, along with your presence. Now **** off!"
  14. Season "review" so far from Skysports

Why would we? The article is about teams who have impressed or struggled and we're placed bang in mid table, probably where a lot of people expected us to be. I would normally agree that Sky etc. love to undervalue us, but on this occasion I don't see why they would need to.
