  1. Surely if City went down that route themselves it would've been after the Fulham game though. Pemberton to take control while bringing in someone who could make those recommendations. Lansdown backed LJ to the hilt during that run, I wouldn't think he'd sack him now or the end of the season after an upturn in form
  2. Be a bit pointless if he was sacked now... 2 games to keep us 'safe' and no real to time to evaluate the squad? genius move.
  3. Why? He clearly is uncomfortable with being interviewed and possibly never got his comments across well but it seems a number of people went overboard and misinterpreted his comments like he was blaming the fans when he did no such thing... He basically said that everyone is entitled to grumble and criticise if the team put in a bad performance but just get behind the lads for the 90 minutes... With LJ, you maybe right about the gamble and risk but to be fair he has actually a half decent win % record at this level despite the abysmal run through the winter months, nowhere near hopeless as some seem to think. We can hope that LJ has learned from the mistakes he has made and continue to improve as manager while pushing us up the league next season. So I also feel that Lansdowns decision to back LJ was vindicated, it took some guts to stick with but right now it seemed the correct thing to do rather than pressing the panic button and looking for a new manager
  4. True, I think also the Gas will have to strengthen big to compete. This season they have been on the crest of a wave following back to back promotions but can you see the richest man on the planet finding the funds to do this?
  5. Hilarious... Nowhere near, the early 2000's is where League 1 was a far, far stronger and much more competitive division.
  6. Picked the 2nd option, this will be his 3rd transfer window but if there is no real progression by Christmas, unfortunately I think his time will be up. That being said, he is fully capable of improving us and his win % record is actually half decent despite that horrendous run. Could see us finishing around 12-15th
  7. In
  8. I really do hope we push on next season, even if its to be a midtable championship club... be interesting to see how the 'boycotters' react if there is real progression
  9. Of course you won't because you seem to have more of a personal problem with LJ being manager... he deserved criticism for the form earlier in the season of course but to give him zero credit for the upturn in form is just pretty petulant and confirms my first sentence
  10. Think the LJ clappers support the club just like yourself, I'm happy to back the manager... he got us into it and to be fair he has dug us out with some impressive home form.
  11. If Johnson deserves dog abuse for the abysmal run then he deserves plaudits (along with the team) for picking up form recently
  13. Cardiff away then Fulham at home under Cotterill? Thought we were class without winning away at Cardiff and then the polar opposite against Fulham when we were lower than garbage..
