  1. Cor, Ken Anderson's PR is through the roof isn't it?
  2. It does sound great @Mr Popodopolous but even if they were aware at 11.05pm, the deadline was 5pm. If they turned up after that then they don't really have a leg to stand-on. If it is a mix-up then fair enough, but otherwise as much as we could say "It's only a few hours," that also works for any potential buyer that didn't turn up a few hours earlier....
  3. If you turn up the day after a club's been thrown out of the Football League claiming to be a white knight, you haven't done a great job of saving the day. I'd be very sceptical. Romantically it'd be brilliant but being a dispassionate bastard for a moment, it's pretty poor.
  4. I’m not sure. The company’s common sense would’ve been to turn up this time yesterday...
  5. Bolton are getting 14 days because it’s how the rules work. The notice of expulsion is a two-week notice. Bury’s ran out on Friday, and was extended until Tuesday.
  6. It was a different situation mate. Bolton had their 14-day notice period put on hold, and that was lifted tonight. If they don’t find new owners in 14 days, they’re chucked out. That’s the deadline that Bury failed to meet on Friday, and again today.
  7. They’ve put out a statement tonight saying they’re still in talks with bidders. Sounds like liquidation was a threat to get buyers to hurry up. Not too encouraging that they didn’t.
  8. I’m not sure it’s legally binding if it was accurate at the time of print, and tbh I hope it isn’t. I know fans miss out on their teams playing Bury but something doesn’t sit right about teams paying out because other clubs are badly run.
  9. Can someone explain for us stupid people what this all means? Buying and selling debt has always confused me.
  10. I know what you mean but at this point what more could they do? The club can't fulfil it's league fixtures, had no financial prospects and even prospective owners didn't want anything to do with the club once they got close. The EFL just shouldn't have let this charlatan take over the club in the first place. If he was the "successful businessman" he touted himself as why did he leave a string of dissolved companies in his wake, and more importantly where did the money go?
  11. One of English football’s darkest days in a long time. I hope they somehow comeback strong. There’s a lot of people with some big questions to answer but do any of us have any faith that they actually will? Bury’s players are now out of pocket, the same players who won them promotion last season, I just hope they get picked up by other clubs. Spare a thought for David Flitcroft and Mansfield too. Sacked after missing out on promotion on the final day, with one of the teams going up in their place going out of business before they played a fixture in the league above. Such a cruel irony.
  12. Exactly, we don't know. But I'm paraphrasing what was said before.
  13. It was meant for the guy who made the original point, not you. But anyway, we know barely anything about the incidents surrounding the accident. Why is now the time for inquests about how Cardiff transport their players? It seems very crass to me.
  14. No, you really don't have to ask that.
  15. I can't. If he thought City didn't bother backing him after winning us a league trophy he'll think Lansdown was like Santa compared to WAQ. Me too. He did a great job, let's be fair. Club very much on the down and got them up twice in two seasons, wasn't that far away from the play-offs last season too. Now I'm off for an acid bath to purge my positive Darrell thoughts.
  16. If it's in for just a debrief, fair enough. But anything similar to being in response to losing 4-0 at home is an overreaction in a sea of overreactions.
  17. Losing 6-0 at home crushes your confidence. Being half an inch away from what would have been a definite win doesn't.
  18. What? They got battered 4-0 at home. We lost in the last minute when we had a penalty to go 3-1 up. Jesus christ.
  19. Yeah and to be fair it is quite funny to watch until you realise it's all our own!
  20. Belter of the match (Sheffield Wednesday away). Who gets your vote? Some very strong contenders here. I think Husshen has the title in his grasp though. Let's hope someone doesn't snatch a last-minute win.
  21. O'Neil is as culpable, if not moreso. But rationally, it happens on both counts.
  22. Is the guy operating the camera on Facebook the same guy who does the camera at Ashton Gate?
