  1. More like a panel beater on that performance
  2. To be fair we might then have missed out on the Mebude signing.
  3. We were two up in the home fixture against this lot and lost 3-2. We need to better that comeback now and hit four in the second half.
  4. Looked onside to me. Similar to the Norwich equaliser recently against us whereas this time the ball was played back to Twine to convert whereas the Norwich player put it forward
  5. We will need a replacement for Mbude on the bench next season.
  6. Iirc when we signed him reports from Derby indicated that he was a very good left sided centre back, but a lot of us thought he would be best suited to the wing back slot due to his not being tall enough for a traditional central defender. However, given a run of games in his seemingly favoured position we can now see that the Derby fans were correct in their assessment about his capabilities as a central defender. He is classy and it shows that reading a game and using what's upstairs can more than compensate for a perceived deficiency. Just look at the great Bobby Moore. He lacked pace but more than made up for that with footballing nous. We look the biz with Roberts in his preferred position.
  7. I had a garden bench delivered by Almondsbury Garden Centre this evening. I can honestly say that I was rather disappointed to find there was no Mbude attached.
  8. Apparently he is being saved to take on Stoke entirely on his own. The lack of minutes makes sense in light of this Herculean task that lies ahead.
  9. I think it was 6-2 but I had forgotten that cheeky free kick.
  10. I think Mbude is being readied. I saw him shift slightly on the bench
  11. Question to be submitted by Cole Not Gas: 'Nigel, was it your greatest moment in football to be replaced at Bristol City by the genius tactician and ebullient raconteur Liam Manning?'
  12. Unfortunately, some players have promising careers shattered because they are prone to injury. Christian Ribeiro springs to mind. Great player but constantly suffered long term injuries which is why we had to let him go. Went on to play for Scunthorpe and Exeter but his time at those clubs was also stifled through picking up injuries keeping him out for long periods until he retired early due to a knee injury. Sadly, I think Ayman's career will follow a similar trajectory, poor lad. As CityFarAndWide says above, he won't be the same player having himself had to call it a day very early due to this domino effect.
  13. If it was Man City it would be reduced on appeal to a ten point addition.
  14. So quick, in fact, the ball wasn't stationary it was a rolling ball. Should've been disallowed for that and retaken.
  15. Your memory must be playing tricks as Atyeo retired before 1967
