Sunderland away match thread

Enthusiastic about our fans? We've got a good loyal core support, but we aren't the decision makers are we? I'd like to see some real progress on the pitch, some serious ambition and investment in the playing squad from our owners. But I'm not holding my breath. -

Some good points there. But (and I know it's been done to death) we were sold a pup by the chairman and Tinnion with this front foot bollocks. And do you think our owners will be investing enough to buy these quality forward players that we so clearly need? I have very little faith in seeing a marked improvement next season. -

Respect that of course. But we barely had a shot on target. It's binary football with us. Thankfully our defence and keeper have been excellent. -

It's the total lack of attacking intent and quality on show. Are you enjoying this football under Manning? It's turgid. -

We are a boring team with a boring manager. Normally I'd take a draw at Sunderland but these just got beaten 5-1 at home by Blackburn. This regime (from the top) is killing my enthusiasm for the club. -

Well played lads, two good wins this weekend. A lot more like it. -

Reading those Leicester comments, from fans who's team is 2nd in the league, has a recent Premier League Title win, FA Cup win and Champions League football makes you realise that as City fans we are fully entitled to be fed up with our lot. I'd snap their hands off for what they've experienced the past 10 years. -

Confident we will be top 6 next season? That's an extremely bold call!! -

Well played lads. Said I wouldn't watch it but thought better of it and watched the whole game. It's maddening how we can't do this more regularly -

Didn't say I wanted it to happen. I'd much rather see us win 4-0. But surely you can see we are heading one way with this current setup, and that's down. -

Why is that pathetic? I think his point is take a hammering to speed up the removal of this hopeless manager and perhaps send a message to this board and technical director that they don't have a clue. I'm inclined to agree that's better for us in the long run than another few months of drift and a relegation dogfight next season. -

I'm with you. At home today and all I need to do is switch the telly on but I've decided I'd rather do some decorating. Not sure I'll bother with another game this season, completely disillusioned like you say. -

What are the positives, in your view? -
Very droll. I'm not going anywhere.
