  1. Colin Murray

And we've had a few mentions on there in the last couple of months.
  2. Crowd tonight

    Man City section reduced capacity
  3. City players at school

This thread is in danger of morphing into Friends Reunited ... oh wait .... whatever happened to that ....
  4. City players at school

Remember school basketball match. Keith Fear on one side, David Rodgers the other. Merrywood v Cotham. Played alongside Kevin Mabbutt. He was in the first team a good 3 years younger than anyone else. And whilst on the subject, school v Old Boys at cricket featured A Milton, J Mortimore and D Allen (and his brother I think).
  5. Stadium Lighting (Merged)

    Advertisement hoardings much better.
  6. Lansdowns Millions (Merged)

No, why on earth would he give it to someone else to waste!
  7. Phil Parkinson 'red card was harsh'

Appeared to spit at the ref as he went off.
  8. Players that were better "live" than you thought.

Totally agree with that. And the opposite was perhaps Joe Royle who never hit the heights we might have expected (after his first game, that is)
  9. Advertising Boards

I'm of that mind set as well. I was reading an article yesterday in an online newspaper about someone I knew who had been found dead - not local but same type of website as we all know and hate. I couldn't help but feel how insensitive it was to be reading this and find pop-up ads blocking out half the report. Funeral directors ....

The surround lighting was very variable. When it was lower the pitch looked remarkably dull. Yet we know these floodlights are up with the best. Just shows the impact of the advertising lighting. The other problem is the lighting is changing very quickly. There seems to be a tendency for each advert to come with the best possible light show. Never used to be the case when electronic ads were much more static and moved across the boards at a much slower pace, causing a lot less visual distraction.

You wonder why the coaches haven't picked this up, with their attention to detail. Or are we going to have advertising boards put in at Failand? Seriously, Pack and Smith seemed to have real problems picking out and passing to team mates. Do either wear contact lenses? Also, we got caught offside more times than any other game I can think of since Kodj left. I just wonder if they couldn't pick out the runs quickly enough.
  12. Oh what a feeling

Not a classic but job done. 3 pts and clean sheet. Good enough for me.
  13. Advertising Boards

Totally agree. Complete distraction. I wondered whether it affects the players.
  14. In the Courts

    Just pleaded guilty
