  1. You’re not worthy..!

Christ alive. Never knew that Never mind. I’ll take my chances when Morse knocks on my door. Done it before. And for The Big One. And will do it again. Never made a profit on anything City related. Have even given stuff away. @Bar BS3 go with your gut instinct. **** anyone who grumbles and moans
  2. Anyone got a spare 12 thousand pounds for Billy Wedlocks England caps?

Hi. I was going to ask you about this when we have “the drop” but you’ve answered the question. Thanks. Now that museum. In the week when SL gets his CBE and with a thread to another titled stalwart to BCFC how’s about this? If Mr L would like to buy the cap and fund the museum then I’ll donate on loan my Williams turnstile. Anyone on here able to put that to him? The turnstile is a bastard to move but it would look fantastic alongside the cap and any other memorabilia that could be mustered.
  3. Man Utd FAQ

Painless for me last night. Apart from the bit when I had to put in credit card details for 6 bloody tickets All those that are going are delighted. We’re all up for some De Gea baiting behind the goal
  4. BCFC Memorabilia 1967-2017: having a clear out

PM sent. I’m happy to donate to charity if you’ve got what I’m after! Ta
  5. How Much Would You Sell For?

Not me @spudski. I have very high values.
  6. How Much Would You Sell For?

Sounds to me like you’ve sold them. And at more than their face value. Shame. A friend of a friend too? I offered mine at face value to a fellow OTIBer. Guess we’re just different.
  7. How Much Would You Sell For?

Not chastising anyone and whilst I get the argument to sell and make a bit of money I find it quite sad. Perhaps a chance of a lifetime for some to see arguably the most successful club in generations and some are tempted to cash that in. Maybe I’m a bit more fortunate than some but I’m a firm believer in experiences over cash. If I’m in a position to share that with others then I’d prefer to do that. My old now dead Grampy Weeks instilled that in me when he used to say “there’s no pockets in shrouds”. Even turned down 4 figure sums for England Australia in 1991 and similar amount for England Scotland in 1996. Great experiences. No regrets.
  8. How Much Would You Sell For?

******* hell. This tells us so much about modern society. We have 6 season cards and 4 memberships. We’ll take whatever we can - at least the 6 - and sell what we don’t then need. At face value. No need to form a queue. They’re committed already. Football isn’t all about making money and having people over.
  9. IMPORTANT - South Stand Display vs Cardiff

@Raging_Robin what do you not like about this? Saying it’s rubbish is easy. Care to explain?

I’m in the same boat. We now have 6 season cards - 1 an adult, 2 x U19 and 3 x U12. Now if the U12s don’t fancy a late night or their mothers won't let them can I upgrade to adult tickets? Might cover the cost of the season cards that way
  11. IMPORTANT - South Stand Display vs Cardiff

@Monkeh seen the tweet? Still think the same? People like the Ls are ******* us over all the time. Things like this, JLs tweet and evading and avoiding tax by living offshore. But hey. We have a great stadium and stand on the brink of a game against Man Utd - another brand now priced out of the reach of genuine football supporters - and possibly the Murdoch Promised Land. I’d swap all of that tomorrow for sitting on the crash barriers in the Enclosure not that long ago.
  12. IMPORTANT - South Stand Display vs Cardiff

And here we have it. Proof if proof were needed. All we’re interested in is getting you fans to spend your money. These two, or at least one of them - if this tweet is genuine - are really showing how much they care about BCFC, fans, Bristol Sport or #makingbristolproud. There’s a C word that springs to mind. Contempt.
  13. IMPORTANT - South Stand Display vs Cardiff

Thing is he isn’t wasting his money. He’s investing it. Against assets that grow in value by the day. Look at it like The Mall. Or another property based asset. He needs to have the asset as full as possible and maximise foot fall and with that revenue. Why else would he bring BCFC and the Rugby club under one stadium? No longer in use every other weekend. Now every weekend. Or do you think he and they do it for “the fans?” Reckon he ever stood behind the goal with rain lashing in his face eating a partially warm pie when there was a better investment opportunity? Did he bollocks. And it that respect he is no different to many others who now see sport in general and football specifically as a brand and an opportunity to make money or bask in their own glory. I ******* hate it.
  14. IMPORTANT - South Stand Display vs Cardiff

Only the bit you’ve highlighted? What about the rest? Where were the Lansdowns in the past? Before there was a sniff of success?
  15. IMPORTANT - South Stand Display vs Cardiff

This is frankly bollocks. To me it shows the contempt that Bristol Sport has towards Bristol City and the loyal fans who have supported their club through thick and thin, and at times when the concept of #makingbristolproud hadn’t entered anyone’s mind. Bristol City, Bristol Rugby and any other sport that falls within the auspices of Bristol Sport is simply a means to an end. If it wasn’t sport then it could have been any other commodity or means of entertainment that encourages people to spend money to participate or spectate something, and whilst doing so spend more money. Bristol Sport, the Lansdowns or any other immediate members of its Senior Management Team don’t give two shits about the sport or it’s supporters. As long as we attend and spend money they’ll be there. When there are tough choices to be made they’ll be gone. Or taking ages to explain their actions. Funny that MA can release a press release within minutes about Bailey Wright but it takes days to respond to a heated debate about pieces of cardboard. Much talk of “making AG a fortress” and thanking or doing it for the fans. Everyman and his dog - or grandson in his ear defenders will be humble and walk around the pitch when we do well. Need to take the rough with the smooth gentlemen.
