  1. Great, thanks for the confirmation.
  2. 18/9/79 - Away at Partick Thistle, Anglo Scottish Cup, quarter final 1st leg. Can anyone tell me if a programme exists for this match? I haven't come across a copy in the last two years, and I don't see mention of one on this web page. http://partickthistleahistory.wikifoundry-mobile.com/page/1979+v+Bristol+City+(H) The return 2nd leg can be found here... http://partickthistleahistory.wikifoundry-mobile.com/page/v+Bristol+City+(A)+ASC+1979
  3. Anyone got a spare 12 thousand pounds for Billy Wedlocks England caps?

Of course they also charge the seller a 17% + VAT, so the auction house makes over 40% of the sale price!
  4. Anyone got a spare 12 thousand pounds for Billy Wedlocks England caps?

Sold for £8,100, plus buyers commission of 18% and VAT, and an additional 3% if you bid online!
  5. Anyone got a spare 12 thousand pounds for Billy Wedlocks England caps?

William Wedlock made 26 appearances for England, so this is only a small selection of his caps. Some of them look a little worn, so I presume the owners decided to cash out on them, and probably kept hold of the others. Of course if these sell for a tidy sum, then perhaps we'll see more show up sometime in the future. Great for a Bristol City fan with deep deep pockets!
  6. Anglo Italian Cup 1992-93

Great, thank you, that is good to know. I'll have to keep on searching for a copy.
  7. Anglo Italian Cup 1992-93

The team lineup I have is Welch, Harrison, Scott, Thompson, Bryant, Mellon, Shelton, Dziekanowski, Allison, Cole, Edwards - Subs: Bent and Rouse - Scorers: Scott, Shelton and Edwards.
  8. Anglo Italian Cup 1992-93

Yes, I have all of the home programmes, as well as the aways against Luton Town 1992-93 and Portsmouth 1993-94.
  9. Anglo Italian Cup 1992-93

Looking at the home matchday programme on 28/10/78 against Arsenal, Peter Godsiff wrote a bit about this game in his column. Looks like the match was arranged by Alan Dicks as he was evaluating a Yugoslavian player called Slobodan Antic, who played for City in this match. He was taken off after an hour as he was due to play a club match the following day. He was at the time captain of Yugoslavian club Radnicki Nis. Prior to this City played an away friendly at Plymouth Argyle on 10/10, in which Antic made his first appearance in a City shirt. He also scored the first goal in this match in which City won 3-0. I guess City never signed him in the end.
  10. Anglo Italian Cup 1992-93

Thanks for all the replies. I can now cross those, and the Latvia ones off my wants list! 14 years earlier on 17/10/78 City played away against Vojvodina for the International Fayre Cup. Anyone know if a matchday programmes exists for this game?
  11. Anglo Italian Cup 1992-93

Let me know if you would like more space in your loft! I'd be interested in having it.
  12. Anglo Italian Cup 1992-93

Did anyone on this list attend either of the Anglo Italian Cup away matches against Pisa or Cremonese on 24/11 and 16/12 in the 1992-93 season? I'm trying to find out if a matchday programme was issued for either of these games.
  13. BCFC Memorabilia 1967-2017: having a clear out

Sent you a private message. I have an interest as well. Thanks.
  14. Burton, Milwall and Bolton

When we are in this position against a solid defence, that shuts down chances to get players or the ball into the box, I don't understand why we don't just take more shots from outside the box. With Fam and Bobby hanging around in the box we are more likely to either pick up a deflection or a rebounded ball. I saw very few decent shots from outside the box yesterday, which was disappointing. What other tactics are there for breaking down this kind of defence?
  15. Garlandsweden 60 years young!

Actually, I've just checked the match-day programme for the home match against Charlton on 19th Dec, 1970 the following season. At the back there is the "Flashback" piece. It clearly states the following.... "Charlton gained some revenge in the return game which was our last match of the season. They won 2-1 at The Valley-an important result for it kept them in the Second Division. Gerry Gow made his League debut in that match and played at right-half"
