  1. Hörður

Are you illiterate? Or just stupid?
  2. Hörður

What a ridiculous thread. He played a big part in stopping the rot. Maybe the OP loves the guy but he can **** off
  3. Naive

No, the player was played onside by whom? That's the one to blame.
  4. Maggers

No problem for me. People on here should accept Joe Bryan's part in the goal conceded last Saturday.
  5. Maggers

    Corrected
  6. Maggers

    That's bollocks.
  7. Maggers

The team has been excellent this season and with the performance of the defenders of course they aren't dropped. There is fierce competition for places in the defence and in the whole team which is of course what people want to see. Long may the team's excellent results continue, that's what we all want to see. I definitely do not agree with your statement that everyone on here wants him to succeed. There are people who don't want him to but that's how it is, there is always a "scapegoat" among fans.
  8. Maggers

You say he gets nothing but support but still you read what's going on here? There are people on here who want him to fail.
  9. Maggers

I know Joe was slated throughout last season and now it's Hörður who is the one who's slated. I know he's popular amongst fans generally but he surely gets a bashing on here. Both pathetic and painful to read. He sees himself as a centre back which I do also. That's his position, he isn't a wide player.
  10. Maggers

I never said that, I only stressed the importance of teams playing together. Also, the bashing Hörður gets on here is pathetic. Joe Bryan's part in the goal yesterday was huge but he is a favourite on here so people ignore that.
  11. Maggers

Maybe one day you will realise that it isn't about superior players, it's about how teams play together, that's why Iceland beat England last year and would probably do so again.
  12. Maggers

Fair enough. No need to shout though.
  13. Maggers

I wouldn't necessarily do that but he would start as a centre back with Baker. The Iceland defence is million times better than the Bristol City one and the key to that is simple: every player in the Icelandic team defends, starting from the striker. Players are always doubled up for assistance and you would not see a "defending" like Joe Bryan's for the goal yesterday - because Joe didn't do anything (he wasn't interested) Baker had two players to guard. You always have to expect a striker to go past your defender, hence you need to be ready to assist.
  14. Maggers

Yes, I do. He closed the player down well but didn't get the help he needed which would have prevented the goal. What do you think about Joe Bryans part?
  15. Maggers

The first thing in bold: the reaction on here doesn't give you a fair view of anything happening on the pitch. The second thing, Hörður had a decent game and can be happy with his performance. Your comment on Joe Bryan is 100% correct. Hörður didn't do badly defensively for the goal and closed the player down twice but there is no willingness from another player to help out, which would have prevented the goal. It is a team game and hopefully Joe Bryan learns that soon. He is a brilliant player but has to take the blame here.
