About CityLew

  1. Benfica vs Man Utd (Boo) - Free on Freeview HD Channel 115

Whoever watched this missed a cracker of a game between Chelsea and Roma last night! Best game I've seen this season... except City of course
  2. Team for Friday

Jesus, I say "Perhaps" a lot, don't I! Take a shot a vodka for every "Perhaps"
  3. Team for Friday

I went to the pre-season game at Bristol Manor Farm and being so close to the pitch, I noticed something about Korey that I hadn't really noticed before, his communication and leadership skills. In fact, it seemed like he wouldn't shut up Perhaps this is a trait that LJ appreciates and perhaps Brownhill and Pack don't possess that to an extent? Anyway, I've always thought Korey was our best midfielder the last few seasons (even when he tallied off) but perhaps the performances of Pack and especially Brownhill have made me feel that Korey has been the least impressive this season? Perhaps I should watch those long highlights of Ipswich away?...
  4. Team for Friday

I agree, keep a winning side but out of those three midfielders, Korey Smith has been the one I have been the least impressed with. Well, I have been impressed with Korey but for me, Pack and Brownhill have performed better which is odd because Korey normally keeps his place.
  5. Kevin Davies /. OLD GIT

    RIP fellow red.
  6. New City Blog

That's up to you to decide.
  7. New City Blog

You can respond because blogs can have comment sections. Anyone can be an author on a forum but that's not the case for blogs. Blogs tend to be used when someone wants to share their opinion without the contribution of others. Blogs are pretty good if you want to know the opinion of an individual rather than a group.
  8. New City Blog

    No, it's a forum
  9. Bristol City on FIFA 18 (Merged)

In which champions league final did you score the winner in (in real life)? And don't tell people what to do, just because you would rather go fishing than play fifa doesn't mean everyone else on the forum wants to. Also, if he wants to take it seriously then so what..? How does that affect you? I'm a pretty competitive person even when playing fifa and still find it really fun. There are actually worldwide tournaments now with people winning over a million from winning it and I bet they got a good feeling from winning that (even money aside). I'm saying all this as a person who prefers to do things in real life such as play football etc but can appreciate games such as Fifa.
  10. Worth a punt....

I played for the same team as his brother so he used to come down and give us training sessions now and again and he was good at it. So yes, perhaps he may be interested in moving into coaching after his playing career. A player MM rates I believe but not sure whether he is better than Smith, Pack or Brownhill? But that's just based on not really seeing him play for Ipswich.
  11. Deli Ali one match ban

For the middle finger? The excuse was ridiculous
  12. Engvall to be sold !!!

Isn't this our stance on all our players? If we get a good offer then we sell but if not then we develop them?
  13. The first tranche of ten games ....

I fully understand that. My point wasn't that it's always bad to pass sideways and I'm not asking for our CM's to push forward and beat a man. My point was that there were times in the first half against Bolton where Smith or Pack (depending on which one had the ball) had the chance to exploit the gap between the opposition defence and midfield when there were no opposition players stopping them but they opted to play it sideways letting the opposition midfield get back into position.
  14. 4 years ago today

Leyton Orient lost on penalties in the play-off final that season.. look where they are now. Sad to see. I remember beating them away that season with us being the underdogs!
  15. The first tranche of ten games ....

True but that doesn't stop the fact that when there was space for our CM's to push forward with it a bit of space ahead of them they chose to pass sideways.
