About South stander

  1. I thought Winks had a decent first half and might bring a more attacking option in midfield than Henderson, but second half he became too safe. As a young player with a decent pass and some drive, he could be what England need. It will depend if he can get his way into the Spurs team though.
  2. Albie & Little (Merged)

I thought Little had a really good game defensively, but notably he didn't venture beyond the half way line all match, which is clearly a reflection on how they set out during the game. This was his strength last season and was a concern going into the game that he would go on attacking runs. Overall I thought he did well last season and put in some good performances and so deserved the applause he got.
  3. We Ain't Got A First Team !

Totally agree! The challenge will be keeping them all happy and keeping the best players in January. If we can do both, we should be on for a good season.
  4. Back from the game - Ratings

Really enjoyed the match and agree with the original poster ratings. Vyner did ok, but the weak link in the team (tonight). I like Magnússon but looks like a mistake about to happen and Elliason was a little disappointing with final ball at times. A big HOWEVER, despite this we thrashed Stoke and what a fantastic squad!!
  5. England U21

Didn't Dier miss the Malta match due to suspension, so Livermore was a replacement. Don't rate Livermore and agree about the need to have either Dier or Henderson, not both.
  6. Stoke Tickets

will be giving it a miss
  7. Changes for the Villa game?

Its a tough one to call, if Flint is staying should he start? Diedhou isn't really doing it (despite really trying) Central midfield, are Pack and Smith the best pairing? Right and left midfield - do we have enough pace? Lots of questions, but not likely to see too many changes from the Millwall game. Fielding Pisano Wright Baker Bryan Paterson Smith Pack Brownhill Reid Diedhou or Woodrow (or a real punt with Hinds) subs Lucic Magnússon O Neill O dowda Eliasson Diedhou or Woodrow Hegeler Tough for Hinds not even making the bench and what about Taylor? We seem to have too many players, most of them of similar ability. Arguably Kelly should get his chance, but might have to wait for Bryan to leave or get injured.
  8. What was Frankie doing for their second goal?
  9. Third-round draw in Beijing, China on Thursday at 04:15 BST WTF!!
  10. Team v Millwall

I know it was quite predictable, but do I win a prize for predicting the starting 11 and subs a day before the match!
  11. Team v Millwall

well spotted, How could I forget Bryan!
  12. Team v Millwall

After a tough night on Tuesday with backs to the wall for 98 minutes, do we expect any changes for tomorrow? Maybe Hegeler back into the back 4? What about Woodrow starting? I expect not! Fielding Pisano Wright Baker Bryan Brownhill Pack Smith Paterson Reid Diedhiou subs Lucic O Dowda Hegeler Woodrow O Neill Eliasson Magnússon
  13. Next Round Draw

As someone said earlier, I don't really care, we have 2 important home games on the Saturday and then the Friday, so we can play the youngsters and forget about it
