  1. England 2018 World Cup

    Well said that man..
  2. England 2018 World Cup

You could say that about City, surely. I really don't understand English people not supporting England. I'm proud of my country and I will support through thick and thin. Isn't that what you do with your club side?
  3. England can/can England win the World Cup?

The more people say it won't happen on here, the more likely it will actually happen.
  4. Bailey Wright - Suspended for 2 matches

Is this still going on? Both of them should be sent off to be honest! One for raising his hands, and the other for simulation and sportsmanship!! Bailey is trying to make a meal of it to get the other player sent off. He was successful. Let's all be honest here and take off the rose-tinted glasses. The push wasn't near his face and he has now paid the price for his exaggeration / simulation / acting. One thing I hate about football is the element of diving and simulation. I do agree that if you ban one player for it, you have to be consistent with the rest. Don't forget, you can only act on simulation/diving if it is successful in conning the ref (which isn't right, but thats the rule at present).
  5. JUST RELEASED - MANCHESTER TICKET DETAILS

As someone who works away a lot, I'm one of those fans who won't be able to get a ticket even though I'm a Forever Bristol member as I've only attended 3 away games this season. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit disappointed as I've pumped thousands into Bristol City over the years, but, it is what it is and I think the way they have done it is fair. Have a great time everyone as its going to be a great game.
  6. IMPORTANT - South Stand Display vs Cardiff

Hold on to your hats, OTIB is going to go NUCLEAR now...... I can't even play devil advocate on this one!
  7. IMPORTANT - South Stand Display vs Cardiff

Maybe I am missing the point? But thats the great thing about debate. Thank you for taking the time to reply, I do get it from the other side too, but like I said, I'm also play devils advocate a bit. I do like that we can disagree Mr Fogg without getting abusive. I appreciate that.
  8. IMPORTANT - South Stand Display vs Cardiff

I'm not saying that at all. Personally, I just think the whole thing is being blown up out of all proportion and I'm also trying to play devils advocate a bit. @Mkelly has made a statement on the matter, which everyone wanted, so that's that. I'm not saying I agree with it, far from it, but I don't see what this witch hunt is achieving apart from creating even more unnecessary tension between the club and S82. That's exactly what you don't want if you support, like I do, what S82 is trying to achieve. The club was helping the group, they did let them in early and on Friday to set-up, but I think the decision to have a St Georges flag wasn't communicated enough maybe from the S82 side (from what Mr Kelly is saying). At the end of the day, if the use of the St Georges flag wasn't meant for the minute's silence, it was obviously an attempt to have a poke at the Welsh sat directly opposite. We all know it was. Do I think that the club is being soft about it? Yes. Do I disagree with it? Massively yes, but Its done though and I think lessons have been learn't but harping on about a card display like its the end of the world to me is a bit OTT. I do fully believe that the club should compensate the lads as a gesture of good will and maybe some better communication is needed moving forward. They're doing a fantastic job, but I'm not down on this constant blame culture. Take it on the chin, learn lessons and that should make for a better relationship moving forward.
  9. IMPORTANT - South Stand Display vs Cardiff

Finally, can we put this behind us now and focus on our amazing season? We do like a moan don't we.
  10. IMPORTANT - South Stand Display vs Cardiff

I didnt realise that. Ok. Apologies. As you were.
  11. IMPORTANT - South Stand Display vs Cardiff

Really? Is it worth getting this wound up about a card display? I agree it's annoying and wrong, but come on... Did the club know all along it was a St George's cross? If they didn't, then I don't think people can kick off too much.
  12. How would you spend £5m in January?

Great post Spudski. I'm with you. I'm dreading it too. The phrase "one bad apple" springs to mind. I do trust LJ and MA though to not only bring in the right type of players, but they need to fit in personality wise too. We have a strong group at the moment.
  13. Lansdown Stand W15 Row 2 Racist

Fair play Dave, it takes balls to stand up to people like that. Just out of interest, and to get peoples views as I find this sort of thing interesting, would people bat an eyelid if someone shouted "f off you Welsh c-word"? Surely both are just as offensive to the person it's aimed at? Is it because society has drilled it into us (and rightly so) that racist abuse is harsher than Just, well, abuse? What I'm trying to say is, when it come to verbal abuse, it's all just words and sounds, so why do people see racist abuse as being so much worse than xenophobic abuse or simply abuse? Does that make sence?
  14. Maggers

Mags is a frustrating one for me. He clearly has the ability, but I can't put my finger on the problem. Yesterday he literally looking like a fan who had won a competition to play for City for a game. He seemed lightweight, nervous on the ball, out of position... Flint was screaming at him loads Yesterday, did anyone else notice? From goal kicks he wasn't holding the line. It's a shame as I think he's got some real talent in there somewhere, and the guy is a great person and total professional.
