  1. If there was trouble and they were punished by having to play behind closed doors, would anyone notice? Although not sure how you closed door a ground of tents and portacabins...
  2. I imagine they'll need to get the pickups and caravans in and do some donuts on that grass... They've been complaining that a decent pitch is screwing them as their players have to actually have skill (and it's why they're so awful away) Couldn't make it up...
  3. There's also one in the thread about their Commercial Director working out the extra income it'll bring in. Firstly he overestimates the number of seats (and assumes they'll all be full) and then assumes they'll all be new supporters rather than fans moving from other parts of the ground. No wonder they're financially screwed...
  4. Good spot - not even their new turnstiles do (not sure a pedal counts as automated ): 8 Turnstiles 8.1 These must be of the automatic revolving type fitted with counting facilities and a computerised turnstile monitoring system.
  5. Would be great if the host turned round and said "things take time but you're losing 2 million a year - surely you're nearing the point of no return?" I think he'd fake a heart attack to avoid answering...
  6. The really hilarious bit is the happy clappers saying "give them time!" - if you were losing £2m a year surely you'd rush through plans to rebuild the stadium so you could actually start to bring in extra income?! Without the stadium rebuild, they're just sinking further and further in to debt which makes them even more unlikely to be able to get the financing for the stadium and training ground. Apart from DS putting BRFC into administration (thus keeping the Colony land and having milked them for the London office for a few years + the loan interest) I just don't see the owner's game plan. Another question - how on earth do Rovers always lose so much money given they're mostly a selling club and supposedly have high gates and ticket prices for the league?
  7. If that's not a mistype of "sags" that's a brilliant new name for them - they are all complaining how old their fans seem to be on matchdays (especially compared to ours at the moment) so Saga seems appropriate!
  8. Hopefully?! Wash your mouth out! Think you mean "unfortunately"
  9. Yep I hate the Gas for their behaviour in 82 and would love to see them go under (there'd no doubt be a phoenix club playing on the Downs for them to get excited about but at least we'll hopefully never see them again). But I'm actually having to fake sympathy with a Gas colleague in work (thankfully only one in a thousand staff as far as I can tell!) because it seems cruel otherwise!
  10. Would've been happy with a draw tonight. Then after we got the goal we got greedy and left Flint up - we needed the extra defender as their number 7 was on and looking dangerous. After we threw the advantage away we were always going to be on the back foot, our confidence looked a bit shot then... Was really hoping we could grab the winner though as felt one bad decision shouldn't ruin our night, but was gutted we didn't at least hold on for the draw
  11. guessing as they weren't exactly the most famous darts players Bert thought he needed to spice it up. When I read the headline initially I thought "oh no, don't do it Phil!"
  12. Rovers won't even have the territory they play on much longer... Not that it has ever really been their territory, thieving *******s
  13. They appear to be suggesting it's legal, security or police related, as they're suggesting searching Hamer's consultancy - which is prison legal services as far as I can tell. As imagine lawyers would have sued faster unless they've only just closed the matter and billed it, prison can't really be related and too cheap for security - could it be their contribution to policing? Imagine ASP would take that long to start really demanding payment...
  14. And even better hopefully the kids will likely think "you mean there's a club like that here in Bristol?! With seats and indoor toilets?!" and maybe instead of becoming Gas and a Prem plastic decide instead to support a big but local team...
  15. Yep that site is horrific, particularly on mobile. Keeps taking me to the Android app store for gambling apps or popping up "your phone has a virus" crap. Even if you need advertising because the blue few are tight and Wally can't afford to help with such running costs, you'd think they could at least use a reputable ad provider...
  16. I guess at least being able to stay in your car means visitors won't need the usual tetanus shot...
  17. That's dangerous - they're a little bit too close to horses to be safe in Horfield...
  18. Btw I'm high as a kite on post op medication so apologies if none of yet made sense!
  19. Think it's fair play to call out the racist horse punchers for what they are. Admittedly we can possibly blank put the worst swear words but think it was posted previously without this so Vince probably didn't think it might be needed. I think it's not an endorsement - the outright condemnation from all of us I think would make any young fan on here realise this just isn't acceptable. Just when my opinions of Rovers fans couldn't get any lower - they now at not only being racist to their own players but also to players just because they donned a City shirt a few times!
  20. Tsk tsk tsk. Imagine being brave enough to pull on those "prowed quarters" every week, lose heavily to a team and get abuse from "the best fans in the world" for less than minimum wage...
  21. You heard wrong - they're getting promoted to the Champion's League because they're now unstoppable, and everyone everywhere loves them but not those gurt Teds
  22. I love that Santa is red. "Daddy I want an inflatable red Santa decoration with Rudolph and his red nose! Please Daddy?" "Get out of my house you gurt Ted!"
  23. Very well done lads. Looked very dangerous on the attack and liked the way we were winning the ball back so fast when we lost it - good, pressing game. Boro looked dangerous at times and they've got some big physical players too, but we soaked up the pressure well and counter attacked brilliantly. Only letdown was that we got scrappy after the second goal - and even more so after they scored. Thought the defence and Fielding had a strong game (especially how attacking our CBs were!), and altho Magnússon didn't cope with the pressure down the left so well once he didn't have Bryan helping to cover he still had a decent one overall. Thought he was very unlucky on the own goal. Up front awesome as usual altho a bit unlucky/not clinical enough in the first half. Reid looked dangerous and confident whenever he had the ball, and Paterson and Brownhill had great games. Smith (and to a lesser extent Pack) gave us that strong defensive cover and looked good attacking too. Bryan great as normal, their player was really trying to get a rise out of him after the yellow and really should have had a yellow himself for the confrontation. Good on Bryan for keeping it together. Overall a good night - just wish we'd not get rattled so easily after a team score and get some momentum against us, and maybe kept our edge a bit more when we go 2 up... Woo we're third!
  24. Those plastic chairs are clearly too fancy for Hani to be expected to purchase. He's only a billionaire! I mean they've got colours on and they're some Ikea or posh design - no chance they'll be able to get them at GoOutdoors with their loyalty discount...
