  1. Match Day parking scheme (Merged)

Hopefully our club has the sense - and principle - to tell the council to **** off until they sort out the park and ride. It is entirely nonsensical to enforce a residents parking zone as the only deterrent to parking when you can move 1500 cars to a proper, organised and revenue generating parking area.
  2. Section 82 expansion...Ideas and Pitches?

Well that’s stupid. I clearly misremembered it from all the stories and details etc. Thanks for clarifying it.
  3. Section 82 expansion...Ideas and Pitches?

But if we'd have implemented that design of the stand it requires people to sit with the seats locked. Installing safe standing seats isn't against legislation, it's having them locked up as standing... which would've been.

That is a quote for a caption - sounds very much just like a description of the image, not relevant to the story. You tagged a journalist directly and called them out. They can address crap editorial practice from their colleagues certainly but aren't responsible for it. Sometimes it does seem to be a case of bashing the local press for the sake of it... It's not good journalism no but then understanding that the journalist writes the story and someone chucks pictures in. From their contacts page (http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/contact-us/) it'd be a Jennie Banks. If you click on the firefighters story within this story, the caption of the picture used there says "An example of a fire engine being slowed down due to bad parking" which - to be fair - is better than this time.
  5. Match Day parking scheme (Merged)

I'd imagine there is a picture editor that fleshes out stories with pictures as and when required so - much like how a journalist doesn't write headlines - it's a bit much to have a pop here. Why not actually praise our local paper for doing some investigation and answering the question which many people on this forum haven't been able to determine either way since December and the first sell-out?
  6. Away game allocated seat etiquette

Christ it was steep. I was up in Tier 3 row DD at the end of a row so could see the stairway easily - without those mini handrails, a lot of our fans wouldn't have caught themselves as they stumbled coming up and it'd have been drunken people rolling back down the again....
  7. Manchester City home game - slow ticket sales

To be honest, I have just been basing that on these two stories which I found after the Reading game kept us under the 3-in-5 25k with a crap away following http://www.southbristolvoice.co.uk/city-fc-parking-despair.html http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/bristol-news/firefighters-police-join-council-bristol-294447
  8. Manchester City home game - slow ticket sales

3 of 5 home games held at the ground - so including rugby games I believe?
  9. Manchester City home game - slow ticket sales

I stand by what I said before that was rubbished at the time
  10. Kickoff Rules

Yes we could have if permitted ... http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11677/10642164/mike-dean-praised-for-quick-thinking-in-rare-birmingham-derby-incident
  11. Never Again...

If we get promoted, I believe a Premier League rule brought in this season was for away fans to be near/at pitchside to improve their ability to create atmosphere ... all about the broadcast spectacle.
  12. Manchester City Away Tickets - SOLD OUT

It’s a different price to buy T2 than T3 so I doubt it unless then club are subsidising the early purchases!
  13. Villa parking

Same here. Got there late so few people to follow but a phone will guide you immediately away then it’s obvious
  14. Manchester City Away Tickets - SOLD OUT

Ideally wanting Level 2 tickets, is it sensible to assume the 3599 tickets remaining available online means that is just the Level 3 tickets and not of the total allocation?
  15. Is Ashton Gate big enough for top flight?

Do we not? How bizarre, especially with how large a capacity it is and how we don't net off the ends either way.
