  1. Flint - new contract SIGNED!

It doesn't say when the contract is till though just that there is the option to extend in 2021. Certainly good news and suggests he will be staying for at least another season.
  2. Nations League Draw

I think the difference is wasn't that announcement quite late on? UEFA will claim that they don't need to confirm venues etc until 90 days before the game so why have people booked. I don't think you can blame the FA or even the Croatian FA as I get the impression they thought they had served this ban 3 years ago. UEFA should have made it clear before the draw was made.
  3. Replays show a bad tackle for me, both feet off the ground. Stupid by Baker, can't see us even considering an appeal when Johnson sees it again
  4. Millwall away

Why would the game be moved because of the rugby? Twickenham is miles from Millwall. I for one hope it is as want to do both mind.
  5. Rugby lines

I think the visibility of the lines vary depending on your elevation in the stands. I would doubt that the players really notice them during the game but it could be useful when analysing a game perhaps as they are clear on TV.
  6. Anybody else think we’ll win tonight?

A few nights ago I dreamt we won 4-1 after going 1-0 down.
  7. Ryan Kent - recalled from Freiburg, and now signed on loan.

I attended the game on Saturday with a friend of mine who is a Norwich fan. After the game we were talking about Kent and he said that Norwich traditionally will sign a player and not play them for 4 weeks to allow them to settle in and get used to the team. Now obviously this is harder with loan players as your wanting more of an impact over a shorter time but thought it was an interesting approach. Wasn't aware we are going to get fined if Kent doesn't play, seems an odd thing to write in to the agreement but guess I can understand why Liverpool would want it included in the deal.
  8. Ryan Kent - recalled from Freiburg, and now signed on loan.

For me its not a case of blaming Kent for the goal but more Johnson for putting him in that position. It was clear it was too early for him to be out there without knowing his team mates. Going forward he looked like he could be a real threat but was obviously not given the correct briefing on what to do defensively. I have no doubt in his ability and am sure he will be a good addition to the team.
  9. Arsenal prépare for Sanchez exit

I'm pretty sure if your an unused sub then you are still eligible to play. Well am certain that is the case in the FA Cup so presume the league cup is the same.
  10. Song for Sterling

Totally agree certainly England's most improved player. Before Pep he was woeful, couldn't understand why he was being picked for England. Yes he had pace but his first touch was awful and it was only his pace for me that was getting him in the team. Enter Pep and he has transformed him in to a goal scorer. It might have been a confidence thing but you can't he is now a world class player.
  11. England fans, Belgium WC game.

I'm out for the first two then heading back for a couple of days then flying to Gdansk from Gatwick the day before the Belgium game. I live in London but know a few from the south west who were looking to fly out and don't think they managed to find a direct from Bristol. I did Kanaus from Bristol a few years back so presume thats an option.
  12. England fans, Belgium WC game.

Totally agree, been to Russia a number of times from the big cities to the vast wilderness of Siberia and have to say it is a great country to visit. I'm sure there will be trouble out there but if you respect their country and respect their ways the majority of fans will be fine. I can't see there being trouble in Kaliningrad though as with it being isolated it makes it even hard for the Russian holligans to get there. For anyone flying to Lithuania or Poland and thinking of hiring a car to drive to Kaliningrad double check that you can take the car across the boarder as we have been unsuccessful in finding a company that will let us take one from Gdansk so are now hiring a mini bus with driver.
  13. Ok. So team for tomorrow?

I missed the incident as was watching Flint getting a yellow but having watched the video I could believe it if the ref had only given a yellow but I can't see how you can argue the red as hands were raised. Kamara should have been booked in the first half for an incident the ref missed so don't think (and he didn't) he could argue with the red. If you break the incident down, Kamara raised his hands and pushed Bailey which by the laws of the game is a red card offence. Bailey went down which in no way was simulation in my eyes and question how the FA are saying that it is. Now Bailey is on the floor and doesn't get up I can only assume this is where the FA are saying it is simulation. If thats the case I question how you can assume Bailey is not injured given he fell on his back/neck. I watch match of the day each week and see players in the Premier League still diving and play acting in fact it was only last week I was wondering what had happened to this group of so called FA experts as decisions are being missed week in week out. To then see the decision today it really does just increase my dislike and complete lack of respect for the FA who are meant to be the governing body of our game.
  14. Your right the FA should follow the same rules and demand a replay but you forget that this is two Premier League clubs and the FA will brush it under the carpet so avoid affecting a fixture pile-up.
  15. Carabao Cup TV games

United are a massive draw in terms of audience which is why they will always be shown. Sadly gone are the days when TV games were chosen on potential upsets and the nature of the tie it is purely about the money and potential audience. At the end of the day Sky is a results driven company and to do that they need to enhance viewings and increase advertising revenue. We might disagree on their selection from a football and fans point of view but from a business perspective its an easy decision for them to make.
