Firstly, I haven't read through every post but Mark Ashton's spin with the announcement of these prices is, in my opinion, symptomatic of the malignant nature of modern football as a 'product', rather than the pastime of predominantly working class men and women. All the clichés about taking your custom elsewhere do not apply when it comes to watching your football team. I took 3 seasons away and watched Non League football when I became disillusioned with things at AG, but the 'feeling' was never there despite it being a great experience on many levels. Charging £30+ the week before Xmas in a month that already boasts 4 home league games is IN MY OPINION, a bit extortionate. I'll be there as a season ticket holder because I'll never know if I'll get to see City play Manchester United at AG in a competitive game again, in my lifetime. Given that the club is guaranteed a sell out and TV revenue plus huge receipts from the shop/bar/food outlets etc, I think somewhere around £25 would have been more reasonable. But hell that's just my take on it all.
  2. Spitting at the keeper

I sit at the very front of the South Stand in the middle to the right hand side of the goal (as viewed from the SS) and didn't see the spitting ( I probably had my head in my hands at the time TBF). Disgusting act though! A few of us sitting in that area tend to give the keeper a bit of stick and have had a good craic with a few of them, but spitting is foul and completely crosses every boundary of decency, in my opinion.
  3. Richard Foster

Left back and as the old joke stated he should have been left back in the 'locker' room............
  4. Richard Foster

If this has been covered elsewhere, I apologise, but it would seem that our former full back has upped his game somewhat since returning to the SPL. The SFA has banned him for two games for kicking the door on the referee's room in temper after he was judged to have conceded a late penalty, playing for St.Johnstone in a 3-2 defeat vs Dundee. When he played for us he would have definitely missed..................
  5. In the Courts

A ******* huge legal bill from his barrister...........
  6. Kelly in England U20 Squad

Brilliant for the lad and the club. Proud day for City!!
  7. Final count 1174 millwall fans have bought tickets for the Atyeo end

I remember that day well. Complete piss take by the Met
  8. Eliasson Signs!

I agree. I just wish some of the posters who have a pop at people posting rumours/'tips' etc would apologise once the events pan out. Without the input of those genuinely ITK, we might as well bin the Transfer Forum and wait for the Post to reveal all..................
  9. Security today

I got my bag searched entering the SS concourse about 1.20, but given the numbers that stream in later, I did notice they stopped bothering after a while
  10. Eliasson Signs!

' Know what you mean!! Mind you in fairness, given the dog's abuse Woodsy got about the Wilbraham saga, maybe they're laying low!!
  11. Pasty Independant

Had it here with the Taunton based Somerset County Gazette! When Yeovil got into The Championship, they decided that a 'Glovers' page was a good idea. Went down like a bucket of cold sick..................
  12. What strikers are leaving then?

watched the SKy Sports video of the goals he scored for Luton yesterday vs Yeovil, and he looks very pacy, and a bit raw (not unexpected given the levels he has played at) but he knows where the goal is. Vassell or another young, hungry, developing player of his ilk would be a better signing IMO than a Championship journeyman looking for another payday
  13. U23's v Taunton Town

Yes mate the fella on the right
  14. Bit of advise please

    All the very best Reddoc.
  15. New Season Predictions

Boro champs, Hull and Sunderland will struggle. As will Burton, Bolton, Ipswich, Preston and potentially Forest. Leeds could be top 6 or bottom 8!! No idea how their blend of imports and a coach unfamiliar with this league will do, but I'm hedging my bets. Sorry to say I think Cardiff will be much better under Warnock this season. I'd take a mid-table finish without a fear of the drop now for our mob!! Oh and I think Millwall will surprise a few on here, I think Harris has done some canny business on a tight budget.
