  1. Might as well give us the trophy now.
  2. Excellent news. I don't have any particular issue with the quality of Sky's own cricket coverage, but getting it free to air hopefully widens the audience, and brings new viewers to the sport.
  3. This is the sort of end phase of a test match that surely even appeals to people who claim test cricket is boring.
  4. Not just you @Super, I haven't given a F for months. I did get a ticket for PNE, but more to enable meeting my normal match-going crowd that caring about what might happen on the pitch. Close the whole thing down, I wouldn't give a toss.
  5. Jesus Christ, the year continues to kick the world in the balls day by day. Have we not suffered enough?
  6. All Risdale had to do was cut back on the goldfish and not sign Seth Johnson.
  7. Are you that desperate for players that anyone turning up with a pair of boots has a chance?
  8. I thought prevoius uproar resulted from the fact that Bond had retired and the 007 designation was recycled to Lashana Lynch's character. Has that been scrapped?
  9. From the Guardian OBO, shows the magnitude of his achievement: We celebrate the Fab Four that won the Ashes in 2005, and quite right too. They took 748 Test wickets between them; Anderson, an unhappy understudy in that series, has 600 on his own. It’s a bonkers achievement.
  10. If true, what a f-ing idiot. How hard is it to just follow the rules?
  11. These innovations all sound varying degrees of sh1te (from the Beeb). The dedicated celebration cam being the standout: Fans on big screens and specific cameras to celebrate towards are some of the "broadcast enhancements" that will be used when the Premier League football season restarts this week. A number of innovations, including tunnel cameras and audio from the coin toss, have been developed. Some viewers will also be given the option of listening to games with or without artificial crowd noise. Players will not hear the audio effects in the behind-closed-doors games. For goal celebrations, players should maintain distance from one another and "where feasible, broadcasters will identify a celebration camera which players can head to after scoring".
  12. I must admit, I don't have a lot of patience for new bands. Very much stuck in a rut that I am perfectly content with. Thinking about it, the only stuff I have that could be considered anywhere recent would be Arctic Monkeys, Rifles and Florence + The Machine. I realise I am likely missing out on a lot of decent music, and rely on a friend giving me a nudge as and when.
