  1. Manning himself always says don't get over excited by the wins & don't get to down about the losses. If only some of our fans would actually listen to him & let him get on with his job.! It's too early to judge him properly. He needs a summer window & a pre-season with the squad. Of course, it can take much linger than that still - but it will be interesting to see where we are around Christmas time, half way through next season & a good year under his charge. It looks like this season should see an improved points total on any season since LJ was here, so that's progress, albeit slow & steady.
  2. We scored more in injury time tonight than they have in the last 7 games..!
  3. Aren't most people basing in on the last 4 (certainly) possibly 7 games.? Not just tonight. After the Cardiff game I was properly pissed off at how dreadful we were. Swansea, I actually think was deliberately cautious to stop the rot. Ipswich - at least we competed. West Brom - wasn't great, but now looks like a blip in the run, rather than reverting to type. What makes you think anyone is basing it on 1 game, when we haven't conceded a goal in 4 games & taken 10 points from the last 12 available..?
  4. Of all the clubs that I can remember being in the Championship over the last few decades, the only ones that Rovers could possibly claim to be any bigger than would be Yeovil, Burton & possibly Wycombe.
  5. I'm hoping Everton go down, finally..!
  6. I'd argue that your suggestions are nowhere near harsh enough. It's all very well taking away their benefits from cheating - but that's not even a punishment for the cheating itself. It needs a clear & simple rule, along the lines of ANYONE found guilty of blatent & avoidable financial cheating should be demoted by 2 divisions. They won't have the balls to chuck Man City down to League 1 - they are too valuable an asset to the Premier league. But I bet they'd have little hesitation in using it as a way of getting rid of the likes of Luton - who ironically have suffered their financial plight in recent years & still battled their way back to the top table. I've always disliked Luton - but I love how they have battled this season & now I really hope they stay up for another season.
  7. It's taken them 17 years for their prices to be about average..!
  8. If you are a season ticket holder you get priority on that seat for every home game. Why should anyone get more priority for away tickets over those who travel away regularly throughout the season.?
  9. Kind of negates the point I was trying to make & way too busy to chase around selling an odd match ticket so a bunch of tossers who support Man Utd.! I'd rather spend the £100 on the satisfaction that 1 of the glory boys that wants to be there couldn't be & just leave the seat empty every game.!
  10. He's not buying a car though, which has a tangible market value. Supporting a football team is entirely different. I wouldn't buy a Rovers or a Man Utd season ticket if someone offered me one for £100. I suppose I never buy my City season ticket based on any perceived "value for money" they are what they are & I buy one to "own" my seat & be part of the journey. I'd probably agree on principle, if there was a hefty increase for no good reason & make a purchase decision accordingly - but I'd never not renew because we'd lost a few games. Yesterday was particularly frustrating, I agree. Not renewing because you don't want to/can't go to matches makes sense. Not renewing because you can't afford it also makes sense. But not renewing unless they reduce the prices (never going to happen) doesn't make any sense to me.
  11. You wouldn't renew because of the lack of entertainment - but you might if it was a bit cheaper..? That makes no sense atall.
  12. I don't go on Gas chat - but if someone who does can post our prices when they are released.... I get that they have a smaller capacity & need to maximise revenue per "seat" - but the prices they are charging are outrageous in most cases, compared to ours. No wonder (regardless of level of football that you'd be watching) that our support base is growing & we are attracting the new generation of support. Plenty like to slag off those in charge of our club - but it's a stark contrast between us & them, in how well things are going, off the field, & I'd suspect that Rovers announcing their ST prices will actually have just helped increase the number that we sell ourselves..!
  13. Obviously not every game pans out the same way. If a team is 2-0 down they have nothing to loose. If they have quality, they are bound to go for it & cause problems. Sitting back to contain them (after a gruelling recent fixture list) is one option, we did it & we won. If we'd have carried on attacking & been caught out then that would have been wrong. Getting the result is what mattered & we showed how good we can be to get the game won in the first half.
  14. I'm just going by Flash scores. I han't even considered their babestation subscription.
  15. People were quick enough to complain about not having won (league) this year, despite arguably being better team in 4 games against Premier league opposition. Leeds & Preston games were disappointing, of course - but bar those - I think we look so much better than we did earlier in the season (yes, under NP, for those who feel rhe need to make the comparrison) Way to early to judge LM yet - but I'm definitely encouraged more than anything else, so far.
