  1. Sorry to go on a slight tangent with this convo, but I’m quite interested to see how Benayrous might fit in next year. In last presser Manning seemed surprised at his quality and he could be used a backup no10 or wide player potentially pushing Stokes to a L1 or L2 loan for a year?
  2. I see Nigel is one of the Sky Sports presenters tomorrow, but he's commenting on the later Champ games. Im sure Sky would have contacted him initially asking to commentate on a game with 2 of his previous clubs, but wonder if there is an 'agreement/clause' that he cannot participate in any Bristol City engagements for a period of time.
  3. I know this wouldn’t happen, but currently I’m in the ‘won’t renew’ section (I’m not sure either what City/Manning can do to change my mind) and I was wondering if City would contact previous season tickets holders after the deadline date and asked why we didn’t renew? Maybe not for people who have only been season ticket holders for a short time, but surely for someone like myself who’s been a season ticket for 21 years they would like to hear my opinions on what has changed this year? Imagine trying to cancel a Bank or Sky account after 21 years, they would be offering all sorts of things to keep you as a customer, which is essentially what we all are at City now.
  4. I got on Lincoln to finish in the Top 6 yesterday at 5/1 with PP
  5. Yeah it’s been a poor game really, other than the one fortunate chance for Tommy and us generally having a decent shape when we didn’t have the ball - we offered little going forward and it’s another “manning” display
  6. I can’t believe we’ve actually filled the bench for once
  7. If I don’t renew season ticket and will then look to buy tickets on better games (or when I can make it) - would it make sense to become a member to get priority when on general release, and if so how much is it?
  8. Roughly 10% increase across the board from first glance
  9. Iv been a season ticket holder now for 20 years now since i was 19 and this is the first time iv ever considered not renewing. Its not a monetary issue but can certainly understand why this is primary reason for some. I feel like others its the first time i generally have very little enthusiasm to go City, through a combination of the general matchday experience and entertainment value being very 'Meh' at the moment. I still feel quite disgusted by the club and their treatment of Pearson, a manager who I fully supported and enjoyed seeing our hard working, honest, well drilled players playing give everything they had with an entertaining fast paced, counter attacking football. You cant live in the past, but i just feel like the appointment of Manning was poorly taken by an inexperienced and unqualified board who went with the "fashionable" appointment of a young, popular lower league manager playing "good football" - but they hadn't done the homework in realising the players we had wouldn't suit his system, so in essence the squad would need to be ripped apart again putting us back another 1-2 seasons minimum. Im not able to go away games anymore due to a young family, and its only few games a year the Gate sells out so i dont think its essential getting a season ticket anymore. I guess we'll see how I feel end of the season........
  10. Do you need VPN for this as my window just keeps loading
  11. I find as im getting older (and 20th year as season ticket holder) I care more about the long term protection of the club, and prefer the club to sign youngsters who they can develop and then sell on for good profit in the future. I want the club to progress/improve and have at least one season in the Premier League just so we can see the best players in the world at the Gate, but long term id rather stay in the Championship as i prefer the 'real football' with no prima donna's rolling round after a tackle and no VAR. Maybe iv been spending too long playing Football Manager
  12. I think its more important to get the right people in certain positions. When we can replace Tanner with Naismith or Atkinson it improves the passing out from the back, or the ability to run forward/break the lines with the ball. If we get Knight back into Centre midfield (now Twine has joined) it will give us more energy in the middle of the pitch, and another player who can make late runs into the box. These 2 simple yet possible player tweaks will add a much needed attacking impetus to our team, without the need for splashing the cash
  13. Is anyone playing this year and have entered their team on the Bristol City league? I just spotted im in the lofty heights of 5th position
  14. Personally I would sub TGH for James, push him up with Twine and get Knight in centre to give us “some legs” in the middle
  15. It’s not my money, for once if Lansdown was happy to sanction a move for a player that could be a huge player for us (and probably push Knight to his best position) then I’m all for it
