  1. The amount of them watching is really weird. Surely you’d just go home.
  2. I dare not look at my post count - the majority of which were probably from low paid office jobs in my 20s
  3. I was at a coaching session in Yate tonight. 3 kids wearing City kits. On the next pitch, there was 4. Number of quarters on display - 0. BS37 is Red
  4. Sadly, I’m well over 20 years at this point. I know there’s a couple of og’s that have been here for slightly longer. Considering it’s just words in a screen, this forum has had it’s influential moments - It played its part in “Opening the East End”, discontent at a terrible badge change in the naughties and stopping one of the worst football shirts I’ve ever seen around the same period (it was the collar). Obviously other social media channels have risen in prominence, and now “engagement” metrics on the main players are probably the most important metric for clubs media teams. At its height, we had dedicated sub forums, including “Ask SL”. I can’t imagine a club chairman engaging with fans on a forum these days, certainly at a professional club. This obviously isn’t the only show in town, the Rivals Network was comedy gold for a long time, especially the **pop** era with QPR, Swindon and Plymouth.
  5. I have an irrational but very strong hatred of Doncaster. Mainly because I think their fans are a massive bunch of pricks. At the same time, I have a soft spot for Crew. Why? Because they one one of the many teams that shared the label on my first Bristol City subboteo set. Funnily enough, that love in hasn’t extended to Swindon, who were also on there.
  6. I was told it’s true. They’re bombscare behind the scenes, so a website not being up to date could not be a surprise.
  7. Fair play to him, he raw dogged the lansdowns like an absolute pro.
  8. I did think that, but season ticket sales were strong, so perhaps it won’t have the impact I feared.
  9. I find the “response” worse than the actual phrase - though I’ll caveat that with the assumption that it was an honest mistake. Because their’s not a hint of remorse or even awareness of how offensive that wording is. But to essentially say “well it wasn’t meant to be public” is a terrible response. Just own it. It was a mistake, and say “we’ll ensure staff will get training on inclusive language”
  10. Some of those goals were a disgrace. But then it’s fair to say the effort matched those of the hierarchy in trying to be competitive, so ultimately the club has got what it deserved. Ultimately a massive opportunity wasted to at least try and cement a place at the top table in a growing market. I do wonder if the losses of playing at AG in the Championship will outstrip what it would have cost to bring in a couple of players.
  11. If that went pop that’s not ideal for Stevie boys pipe dream? I do wonder if that arena will see the light of day in all honesty.
