  1. Maybe it’s because people are paying a not-inconsiderable amount of money to be sat there bored for a couple of hours each week?
  2. I’d suggest that the fan base is less fickle than the current board, who seem to regularly put in new “pillars” to the club ethos, which they then continue to promptly ignore, all whilst finding new ways to deflect any criticism heading their way.
  3. 1 shot in the first half is poor. Need to be much better in the second half to get anything out of this game
  4. First half has been dreadful. Second half must surely pick up? Reid looks woefully out of place on the pitch. Then again, no one else is shining today either.
  5. Well just nearing the ground now. It's only taken me 2 hours to get across from Chipping Sodbury... I hope it's worth all the hassle come full time! COYR
  6. I'm not actually sure why, or what started it, but I have a deep dislike of Peterborough as a football club. I hope we smash 5 past them tonight and send them into a downwards spiral which results in Ferguson getting sacked (again) and their subsequent relegation into oblivion.
  7. Guess I picked a good game to miss attending and instead take the wife away for valentines weekend!
  8. To be fair to SC, he said that's our aim right from the start of the season. After the MK result and then again yesterday, I actually believe he's going to be proved correct!
  9. Well that's putting it mildly. The difference between him and Joe Bryan was night and day. I'm a fan of Wes, but today he was far from his best, and as I said shouldn't be in the starting XI. A sub or on loan is the place for him at present. Let's see if he can push on from there first.
  10. Robbored: dived all game. Time wasted when it suited, in the refs ear when we did likewise. A few off the ball kicks that the ref seemed to miss/ignore too. Overall, happy with the result, less so with the performance. My biggest take from today's game though is that, despite his goal, Burns should be nowhere near a starting XI place.
  11. I'm genuinely surprised at how many people seem to be disappointed by the decision to get rid of SOD.
  12. About time. We were going nowhere but down with him and his negative, and quite frankly, boring tactics.
  13. The more I look into his background, the more I'm hoping we appoint McInnes.
  14. David Moyes? As in the Everton manager? I can see it now.......(cue american soap like dream sequence)...... SL: Hello David, would you like to be the next manager of Bristol City? We almost got into division 1 last year you know. DM: No. <click> SL: So you'll think about it then? SL: Hello?? David?? Personally I'd like DW to stay. Or Peter Taylor (but then we turned him down twice already). Or me.

    Peacock

Agreed. Peacock works his socks off every match. He holds the ball up superbly well for support to get forward, and has anyone noticed how often it's Peacock clearing dead balls out of our area? Maybe not the place he should be granted, but better than noone clearing them. We'd give the ball away a lot more if it wasn't for Peacock playing. He also scores fairly regulary, about 1 every 2 games so I don't think you can knock him too much for his goalscoring record. Lita's not ready to start yet from what I've seen of him so far.
