  1. It was a carbon copy of the Michael Owen goal against Germany!
  2. Here’s a short video, with Manning discussing his coaching philosophy (in 2021). He stated that his coaching is underpinned by principles rather than systems. The most encouraging comment for me was that he tries to utilise a player’s strengths rather get them to adapt too much (I’m thinking of Mehmeti). Apologies if this has been posted previously.
  3. After watching these two videos I’m starting to get over my disbelief. Thinking about what we know. The BEP stated yesterday that JL and NP actually had a good relationship. In multiple interviews it was clear that Tins and NP worked well together. We also know that SL said in April there had been some disagreements. So that all suggests it was SL who called time on NP, regardless of what JL and Tins thought. That would explain these two looking like hostages (minus a copy of today’s newspaper!) in the videos. Both having to toe the party line even if neither think it was the right decision.
  4. Is that it? I genuinely assumed that was the edited “highlights” and looked for the full interview. No praise of NP, which is disgusting. Pleading with the fans to back the team on Saturday (i.e. Please don’t spend 90 minutes shouting at me and Daddy). The two comments that made me most angry were his comments about the quality of the squad and that they have a clear idea of the type of manager they want for the “first time”. I honestly wonder if the comms department released the video to stitch him up. Because if everyone signed off on that video we are in much bigger trouble than I imagined.

    He’s gone.

I don’t post very often, but I wanted to add my voice to the Lansdown out brigade. NP delivered on the job specification of getting results while reducing costs and utilising academy products. It seems like the Lansdowns don’t like someone with a strong personality, seemingly confusing the qualities needed for a football manager with those desired of a life partner. I’ve always been reluctant to call for SL to sell, but he’s overseen failure on the pitch and it’s time for someone to take us in to the next level.
  6. @headhunter - I’m a fan of the podcast and started watching this episode on YouTube for the first time. I wanted to ask if it’s possible to change the camera view to maximise the picture of the current speaker? It would help make it a better viewing experience. Thanks.
  7. That’s been my dream since the day he was born!
  8. I asked my son for his post match report for OTIB and he said “That was good. I loved it. Bristol City won. I loved it so much!” We were in the first row of the top tier, right behind the goal, so the view was great. He was amazed by (and a bit scared) of the noise. As an aside, I was surprised how flat Millwall were considering all the emotion that surrounded the match. In truth, 90 minutes was too long for a 6 year old, so he playing on my phone for a while, which meant he was oblivious to whatever the Millwall fans were up to at the back of stand. Thankfully he was back into the match by the end so he saw the goal and loved it! He was quite happy playing with his new friend while we waited to be let out after the match (thanks @redrob) He did wonder why there were so many police following us back to the station! All in all it was a really good experience and I’m glad I took him, so thanks for the encouragement!
  9. Thanks for your offer! I’ve sent you a DM.
  10. Thanks all! Tickets purchased in the away end. I didn’t contemplate getting tickets in the home end. More because I wouldn’t want my son’s first City game to be surrounded by away fans, regardless of the team. Hopefully I can get him singing a few songs!
  11. Hi all, I’m just seeking some advice. I’m currently in London and thinking about getting tickets to Millwall for my 6 year old and I. (We live in the US so it would be his first City game!) Is this a good idea? Partly because it’s Millwall, but I was also wondering if away fans tend to stand up at the Den and if that makes it hard for a young’un to see?! Apologies for a random question!
  12. I thought that was a strange comment. Could have a negative affect on Flint's motivation in the future.
