  1. We shall see. The general theme of your posts on this thread have been fairly negative towards the idea anyway so its of no surprise that you are just assuming the club will want to squash this idea.
  2. I’m glad somebody has raised this point. We have a 27,000 seater stadium that at present we very rarely sell out. Let’s be honest there are literally thousands of empty seats all over the stadium that can cater for familys or people who want to enjoy watching football sat in silence. People pay their money and are entitled to watch the game in which ever way they want however let’s not pretend that we don’t have a stadium that is more than big enough to offer EVERYONE the choice. It just needs some organisation and dialogue between the club and fans. It should be in theory fairly straightforward IMO.
  3. It’s laughable isn’t it mate. Football grounds are unrecognisable from the 70s 80s and the majority of the 90s yet it seems to be mainly blokes from that generation who are taking this moral high ground on the youth of today. Were there any arrests on Saturday from A block?…From what i can gather it was a decent attempt albeit slightly poorly organised which in fairness was to be expected as it was mainly younger fans behind it. It seems as if they need a few older heads around them to guide them in the right direction IMO. Like i said if season ticket holders are getting turfed out of seats then that is bang out of order and of course if this A block movement wants to get any serious traction then they will have to liaise with the club, that is a given. All that is needed is a bit of give and take by both sides and not this constant ‘back in my day it wouldn’t have happened’ bollox that is being spouted on here left right and centre.
  4. Going forward if A block does become a new standing area then existing fans in that block may be left with the choice of either staying in there next season and being apart of it or moving along a block or two. At the end of the day i hear what people like @spudski and others are saying and respect needs to be shown, equally however if this movement does actually equate to helping improve a better atmosphere at AG then i think everyone at the club needs to get behind it to be honest.
  5. He will be looking at a custodial sentence aswell as the ban for life i would imagine.
  6. I liked Dean Holden but he should never in a million years of been offered the job here. Can’t blame him of course for taking it though, I’m sure he had a healthy pay off and as he said has used the experience to better himself as a manager - fair play to him.
  7. Class. Im still 100% behind Nigel aswell. He is the best man for this job IMO.
  8. You are a proper little annoying bellend aren’t you?!
  9. What has living in France got to do with anything? Being negative about a fan movement that is literally trying to help the horrendous AG really baffles me to be honest.
  10. Worst opposition centre half i have seen at Ashton gate in a looonggg time
  11. Great play by Pring for the goal. That sort of end product is something Dasilva just doesn’t have..
  12. A win of any kind irrespective of performance is what is required tomorrow ?
  13. The main issue for me with S82 is it has never been big enough, it needs to expand at least a block or even two blocks across the south stand IMO.
  14. Will be almost impossible to Police this at football but fair play there should be no place for homophobia in football just like racism.
  15. Perhaps a bit more of a ‘nasty’ atmosphere is what is needed again at AG.
  16. 07/08 the atmosphere was fantastic in virtually all of our home games. I didn’t miss a home game that season in the East End and although the numbers in their were quite small especially at the start of that season the atmosphere was consistently good. Obviously we were winning games and battling at the top end of this division so naturally it was always going to be good however i feel the East End that season made the difference. Having the vocal support right on top of the away fans without a doubt helped.
  17. What is the reported improved offer? Sorry if already been mentioned cant be assed to look ?
  18. Was only saying this on here the other day mate. Great to see fans have shown some initiative in organising this.
  19. Im all for this . Dolman A and B block used to be very lively back in the day.
  20. Always wished he would have had a chance to manage us. Would never in a million years of happened under under Lansdown’s watch though.. As others have said we have no time for proven ‘winners’ at this football club.
  21. Call me pessimistic and I’m sure @Mr Popodopolous or @Davefevs would be able to shed more info on this than me but from what I can see and with the current FFP rules would new investment/owners actually make a blind bit of difference in terms of what we actually would have available to spend on new players? If the club is bought by a new owner surely we are still going to be hampered by our FFP situation but also with the added concern of not 100% knowing the intentions of said owners. For as much as i feel SL has taken the club as far as he can i worry that new ownership wouldn’t actually leave us in any better of a situation then we currently find ourselves in.
  22. You are severely underestimating how hard it is to make it pro in Golf. From scratch to actually becoming a touring Pro that can earn a living from the sport the gulf between the two is immense. Jimmy Bullard another superb amateur golfer found this out.
  23. Im surprised Mourinho didn’t want it be honest. Apparently he is happy at Roma but surely managing your country is the pinnacle.. obviously not in Jose’s eyes.
