  1. Bristol Rovers Dustbin Thread

My boy used to play there for Coalpit Heath and it was a nightmare for flooding. As soon as there was any sort of rain at least two of the pitches would be unplayable
  2. Ivan Sproule

Yep was Southampton my boy's first game so always a favourite moment
  3. Tammy permanent

I'd pay it myself (if I had it)
  4. Beamback

Yep late consolation at Leeds but terrible record otherwise
  5. When can we clam the free rugby ticket

I got mine online a couple of weeks ago?
  6. City International Watch (Merged)

I wasn't, not with some of the tackles that were flying in
  7. Up, Down, Up, Down.

Seems to be the same with everything these days e.g. concerts etc. Constant stream of people going to and from the bar and many stay there for a chat. It's as if they can't go five minutes without a drink or enjoy the occasion without (another) one. Never understand it especially when they miss half of whatever they are there for as a result
  8. A Derby fan's view

OK here's another from their forum: "We were very poor first half but Bristol were really impressive. Their movement and passing was great and they pressed us (which we always hate) and reduced any space. I can't believe they are in relegation trouble when they can play like that. They looked like a promotion team in the first half. "
  9. Well done to City and LJ for a cracking point

I'm struggling to think of too many games where we have "started brilliantly" and certainly nothing like the first half yesterday which was the best football City have produced for a long, long time. It truly was hard to believe it was the same team we have been watching for the last few months
  10. From the ridiculous to the sublime

Fantastic OP, exactly how I saw it and came away with head held high and feeling very positive. By far the best performance we have seen for a long, long time
  11. Reclaim the East End - PETITION

Sorry if I am being dim but not quite sure what you mean by "opposite side of SS" given that we are in the middle and key for me is being behind the goal?
  12. Reclaim the East End - PETITION

Whatever the rights and wrongs, I would be absolutely gutted to lose my seat behind the goal in S22. That's where it started for me back in the 80s and, whilst not always possible, I have always preferred watching my football from behind the goal ever since. When I took my seat in the new stand with my boy and the rest of our gang of 18, I remember thinking/hoping that would be us forever and being anywhere else in the stadium just wouldn't be the same now
  13. 1989-90 promotion highlights

Fab watch, my favourite ever City side and brought back some amazing memories. What a player King Bob was although the supporting cast of Turner, Smith and Gavin weren't bad either. Thanks for posting
  14. Freemans on fire

He's had his chance but just hasn't quite done it at this level. I'd go with Paterson / Toms / Joe as the attacking three in midfield
  15. Will You Be Watching the Cup Final on Telly?

Absolutely, always a special day for me but I do have to talk the boy into watching it with me so that shows the difference between the generations
