  1. Skuse

How can comments like this still be happening in this day and age. Nobody would dream of making a "joke" about the colour of someone's skin, so why is it OK to do so about the colour of their hair? Both my kids (grown up now) had to put up with this for years and it wasn't funny, and still isn't.
  2. My little Dionky

And now he HAS scored, in a behind closed doors friendly with Cheltenham: "City won 4-3 with Djuric scoring a brace while Loïs Diony and Niclas Eliasson also on the scoresheet." The start of something?
  3. Phil Brown to Swindon

Or, Flint says "Ho, ho, ho" ?
  4. The man who predicted football's future (Merged)

The best bit was showing the coin-in-the-slot turnstiles Harry Dolman invented. 35p to get in!
  5. Baker

Ironically, Baker made a very similar weak clearance today. Only difference was Frankie wasn't standing next to him this time!
  6. Baker

Then why not start Magnússon? I thought he had his best game (or half) for us today - won everything and looked much more confident. Playing an unfit Baker is bound to be a risk.
  7. Gamesmanship and Cynicism

One tactic that really annoys me is when players know the will lose the ball in the air, so they either jump at their opponent, without even looking at the ball - or they wait for them to jump and then nudge them just as they are about to head it. Cardiff had this off to a fine art, but did the ref notice? its not just them though. No wonder the likes of Flint get frustrated.
  8. Why was Cunningham not sent off...?

Who invented this idea that "raising your hand = red card"? I know it is widely accepted, but why? If its a punch, or a clear and deliberate elbow, causing obvious damage, OK red card. BUT how can a push, or a brush off be "violent conduct". How can Flint's action be deemed equally serious as an over-the-top leg breaking foul? What he did wouldn't even be noticed in rugby or ice hockey. We aren't playing netball. Lets get some perspective.
  9. I I'm sure RB said it was his 8th?
  10. Where's the ' Diony ' is crap thread ?

He might have done better if someone had given him the ball?
  11. Today was the epitome of "The only thing that matters is getting a result". Many people have said that in the past - fair enough perhaps. I am in the "I want to see a good game of football" camp - Wednesday was a good example of that. Obviously you want SOME good results (more good than bad), but I want to be entertained at football. Today I wasn't and even if we had won, I wouldn't have been. I feel short-changed.
  12. Diedhiou

I agree that he battled, and was given a really tough time. BUT, he really needs to improve his control when the ball does come to him on the ground, and not let it bounce off him. It is so frustrating when we get things right for once, get it to him and he can't take it.
  13. Isn't it the case that we often HAD to use long balls because every time the ball came to any of our players, he had someone in his face and didn't get a second to pick a pass. Just a couple of times we did get hold of the ball and make progress, but made nothing of it. I couldn't believe it when we finally got a cross in and Fam let it run with no City player behind him.
  14. Better From Behind

Did we not go 2-0 up at Cardiff a few years back, only to lose 3-2. Caulker scored one, I believe.
  15. Peter Kioso

    Thanks for that.
