  1. Guinness and Carling, they really don’t want us here
  2. Wash it down with some Fake Fanta, or maybe a pint of Beer
  3. My issue is this What have we done to him!
  4. This reminds me about a previously rumoured candidate. One poster suggested Steffens Baumgart had been interviewed. I wonder if this may be our current rumoured foreign candidate. A quick google suggest that he is currently at Koln. Judging by their league position, not for much longer. Edit: just found this Reddit post from an English language FC Koln group ”Refusal to get loan signing” ”Is it his fault the club decided to cut the playing budget this year” sounds all to familiar! https://www.reddit.com/r/effzeh/s/KstOYOVfQk
  5. Cheers Nige, sorry to see you go. I trusted and respected you as our manager and felt you did a good job under difficult circumstances. Hope your back gets better soon and you can get back to your woodland walks. Enjoy your break and come back stronger. Safe to say that you will be a hard act to follow.
  6. Tippy tippy passing with no aggression. One interception by Swansea and we are 1-0 down
  7. Anyone know if the Blue Few have a Baghdad supporter club? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-66563678
  8. I boiled the piss of a bus nutter gas head by suggesting that the the bulk of Bristolians don’t give a toss about what City did or didn’t do nearly half a century ago. They just see a Championship football club in a modern stadium.
  9. Some 25 years ago I met my wife at a party. After some inital chit chat she asked what I had been doing that day. I said I'd been to the Football, she asked where? I'm assured on a regular basis that I would still be single if I'd have said Rovers. She sit next to me in the South Stand and has been watching City since the Glory days of Division One and oftern knows more about City current state of affairs than I do. From time to time we mention memorable home / away matches or Music Gigs and and marvel how we could have meet on a number of previous occasions. Most importantly we have 2 kids who we have completed a full indoctrination program.
  10. They could try stripping out a few levels of middle management before hacking away the the people in the coal face.
  11. Bristol 24/7 summery of what is happening at Radio Bristol. https://www.bristol247.com/news-and-features/news/these-bbc-radio-bristol-presenters-leaving/
  12. I think the BBC learned their lesson from telling the public that they were axing 6 music and having to do and embarrassing u-turn under a barrage of protests. Now they swing the axe in private. I understand that a huge chunk of local broadcasting is being cancelled.
  13. I understand at least one other well known presenter has decided not to take part in this process and one other who has did not had a favourable outcome. Sounds like radio Bristol is being butchered.
  14. I wonder if he was one of the Radio Bristol broadcasters that was told to apply for their own jobs recently due to the BBC’s local radio reorganisation?
  15. Benefits of this route include mind alternating substances abuse in Amsterdam that may* bring them back to reality and an above average chance of not being allowed back into the country. *not
  16. Far easier to fly to Amsterdam via Cardiff Airport return to Bristol Airport and take the Airport flier to Temple Meads. Just a short walk via the Knights Templar for a pre match pint.
  17. If you are going to put overhead kicks in Room 101 then this one will have to go in too! https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxOHnJ1essSwY7upTYdzeZp0RivL9wfqp4
  18. I’ve just listened back to yesterday’s post match interview and Joey’s grounds for a red card appeal is to supply the football league with video from various angles to prove his players innocence. Best not to user this angle Joey. ?
  19. I don’t think he was just doing his job As a steward his ultimate responsibility is public safety, he has no legal right to detain anyone, that can only be done by the Police. Not only did he try to detain the child he nearly caused a riot, which I would suggest is not very safe. I think some re-education is required!
  20. This reminded me of the Bristol Ale Trail. 16 pubs with 6 weeks to drink 12 pints of beer at 99p per pint. 12 stamps on your card and you got an Ale Trail t-shirt. What was designed as a gentle weekly visit to a couple of local pubs rapidly became something very different. You were never going to get all your mates together (preferably on the Smiles Best week) and do it all in one day. ?+????????????=?
