Dont normally like starting threads like this in regards to players who may be available, but i was really impressed by this guy last year, and for me looked exactly like what i would want for a centre midfileder.

Scottish Herald is reporting he could be about to join Rangers on a free..........very surprised no one else is sniffing after him

Hull are in for him and QPR.

Was very impressed by him. If he is on a free then id like to think we are at least putting some kind of offer in his direction.

Fantastic hard working creative midfielder and has scored some decent goals in his time too - a free kick specialist.

He reminded me of a younger Paul Hartley but not quite as aggressive.

I have said for the past season or two we should go for him. Would love to see him in a Bristol City shirt.

only reason is, is that i would very excited if he was with us next season? very creative from what i have seen and with an eye for goal

dont be fooled by idiots talking rubbish.

Neil Danns will not be a Bristol City player.....he has offers from bigger, better teams who can offer him far bigger wages than us.

NOT.A.CHANCE

I think your the only idiot I can see on this thread. We are merely discussing the possibility of him signing for us.

Indded, as we all know Millen tried getting him in January and it looked promising until burley got sacked,

Don't think there is any doubt we are after him, but also dint think there is any doubt that we won't get him,

Those buggers really are going for it aint they!!!!!!

Yes they are, but they're not getting it all their own way by any means, having lost out to other clubs for certain players and having had bids turned down elsewhere (including, of course, one for Maynard).

Danns has often been mentioned on the forum as a possible target for us. I have always had mixed feelings about that and am not too disappointed he's gone to Leicester (though that said, I'd rather he'd moved to Rangers wher he can't do us any harm at all). He is without doubt a talented player who can hurt the opposition on his day, but I've always felt he tends to blow hot and cold and if it's true as one poster has said that he's also got a dodgy injury history then all the more reason to give him a miss. I'm happy with the Kilkenny signing: he's a different type of midfielder, but I suspect he'll give us a bit more consistency, and aggression, too.
