Photos Of The Redevelopement.

Not sure if there are any others who, like me, would want to take photos of the stadium as it gets redeveloped, but I was wondering if you would need permission to take photos from the car park etc. The thing I have in mind is to take about 2 or 3 photos of the stand being developed, from exactly the same places on the first day of each month, so that it's progress can be compared stage by stage. It would be great if it was possible to take some from inside the stadium as well, but that would surely be pushing it a bit, but if anyone knows if I need permission for car park pics I would be grateful to know how to go about it.

I imagine there are quite a few of us (especially those who live locally) who'll want to take an occasional gander at the proceedings. I wonder if they might stick a camera or two on the site for the duration and stream to the web. A time-lapse video or two is the very least I'm expecting. It would also be quite neat to see the new pitch being laid.

If you are stood in a public place you can legally take a photo of anything in view including people, the car park may need permission so to be on the safe side I would get written permission.

Cheers Dave, I'm sure everyone will we looking at it regularly, seems we have been waiting/ hoping for so long for something to actually happen will be strange when something actually does. You said a couple of weeks that they were working on a fly- through any news on this? Or is its basically going look the same as the last one that was released a while back?

I intend to take pictures on a semi-regular basis of the redevelopment. It's a piece of history being made - the Wedlock stand (by and large) is the same stand it was in 1928, so for the club to deny people pictures of it being developed would really be poor PR on their part. I mean come on, it's not like we will be giving away naming rights to the fencing used in the construction sight is it?

Dave whilst your here may I ask you how long is the demolition of the EE expected to take? And also in what month should we start seeing the new steel work of the new stand errected?

it will take next to no time to take down, thats the easy part :)

I don't know I'm afraid. But bearing in mind the new stand needs to be up and finished by August 2015, it won't be long.

I remember reading once that the land the EE lies on is contaminated or something? The demolition wont take long I doubt and once the site is cleared and fondations put in then the steel work will be up in no time at all. The longest bit will be the internal fit out etc.

Perhaps they might find the remains of the original EE beneath

EE mk 3 will certainly be a bit bigger!

I managed to work out that the camera in behind the open end looking toward the east end with the enclosure/grandstand just viewable on the right. I think I recognized the open end back wall which seems to be the one in use up until it was demolished to make way for the Atyeo.

Any pictures of the old ground next to ashton gate school?

Yep think you are spot on about where that pic is taken from.

The grandstand to the right is the one destroyed during the war.

Never seen any pictures of the original ground next to Raleigh Road / Greenway Bush Lane

Not sure if any exist.

Slightly off topic, but I'm still really hopeful that there may yet be done possibility that the new east end might be given an identity.

Something simple and relatively inexpensive which wouldn't affect the planning permission; a focal point that helps to distinguish it such as the club crest on the roof at anfield, or the cockerel at spurs..

An ornate clock is another idea.

Anyone else got any ideas?
