Nice Idea - But I Don't Think They Quite Get It...

Photographs yes, purchase of seats I am not so sure.

For me and my generation I think the seats were an attempt to water down the power of the mob in that part of the ground, not just at the Gate but all across football.

When I reflect on the East End, I don't think how wonderful the seats were, I think about the surge down the terraces during moments of excitement, sitting with your legs between the railings as a young boy, attempting to integrate with the "boot boys" to sing right behind the goal. All those things and more were part of my rite of passage as a boy/ teenager.

I was never a hooligan, one of the boys, etc, in that respect, but there was a definite feeling of belonging to something, just by rubbing shoulders with people who displayed their passion in all sorts of ways, an almost wild abandon for 90 minutes of your time.

If it had been possible at the time, I might have been tempted to buy a section of railing or wall, but seats wouldn't be in my list. Maybe I am just an old fogey, maybe the current generation have more of a feel for them, but judging by how little they have been used over the years as actual seats, I doubt it.

Yup, I agree. But I don't think it's the clubs misunderstanding. I think they are selling what people have asked for, that's the bit I don't understand. People want to own the bit of plastic that they have ignored for years and never sat on?

Interesting, maybe it's because it's the most obvious. A chunk of rubble from the terraces or a foot of supporting pillar is not so easy to provide or to manage I guess.

Take an empty bottle with a screw top. Unscrew the top and leave for one minute. Re screw the top.

You now have a bottle filled with genuine East End air. This will be valuable in years to come.

Jog on BCFC you have no clue, fleecing the fans again...........  anyone who wants one should be given one with thanks. I will live with my memories of many happy days in there. Certainly wont be buying one or adding to the cost with derv to actually get one.

Sagheads and Millwall etc proved they aren't to difficult to remove, I sure a few more now will be tested.............seriously BCFC WTF wake up :disapointed2se:

I know it's unlikely but can we request a certain seat.I have stood in front of the same one since the stand reopened and I know I am a bit sad but a random seat just wouldn't feel the same.Does that make me sound weird?

The money from the seats is going to charity. Take a chill pill!
