Where Is El Abd?

He was walking around on Saturday with a face like thunder without his tie on (which all layers are supposed to wear on match days). Kid asked him for a autograph and he did it but barely been looked at the kid, clearly all is not well.

Bollox. He was sat in the Williams a few rows in front of me laughing and joking with Marv and Fielding like 'one of the boys'. Stop trying to start sh*te.

Heard it through the grapevine that Adam and his wife are not settled here in Bristol, mainly his wife. I guess it's hard considering he's been with Brighton all his career!

I hope he gets a good pre season in, settles down and show what he's all about next campaign.

Not bollocks at all we were at the ground at 1pm doing the collection and he walked past with a face like thunder and the autograph scenario ensued. Whether he cheered up later or not he seemed ina bad mood early in the afternoon.

I hope come the start next season he has settled & comes good, he can't just become a shit player over night & hoping it's just because he's not settled yet & next season he's the player we need in the heart of our defense commanding it while also stopping giving away silly fouls that result in dangerous freekicks.

We were saying the same thing on Saturday. He was obviously a bit of a hero at Brighton and must have been decent as he had been playing regularly for them in a higher division this season. Might just be finding a way to make him comfortable to get the best out of him.

I know a very close family member off his and I would suggest to a degree this wrong, but at the same time a slight degree off truth.

Think he needs this season to end and go again next year

no they aren't Flint was wondering around in his tracksuit, bryan had a training kit on (with a knee brace), Players don't have to attend games if they aren't playing

I expect it's the same people slagging off El Abd who were slagging Wade Elliott . It's a strange type of support.

Not sure, I can agree there Dave. Elliott looked very rusty in his first game and their was some alarm, but no-one to my knowledge wrote him off after 60 minutes football.

El-Abd by contrast came with great promise but slowly lost support through some poor performances.

I haven't personally written him off totally, but you can't blame fans for wanting the sounder defensive options.

Oh Robbo come on, some people wrote Elliott off 10 seconds after his signing was announced on the main site, let alone 60 minutes of football.

Nothing like Elliott, who just had a bad first game; El Abd had a fair few matches to show his quality and, so far at least, hasn't,

Hope the time away from the first team is helping him settle, and he comes back stronger, but he can have no complaints about Nosworthy coming in am usurping him just now.

Clearly we should all hope he improves, but he's not shown why he was so highly rated at Brighton yet.

I'm not counting the "condemn everything Cotterill does" brigade, Es. We know how accurate their punditry has been!
