Maurinho Charged For Sarcasm

WTFiGO!?!

Apologies to the City purists who could do without this but I'm intrigued.

Jose Maurinho has been charged with taking the piss out of the authorities via sarcasm.

Now, if he were a poster on this forum I'd like the cut of his jib and support his course. I can, though, understand the FA aren't having his smart arse games as, imo, he is taking the piss.

When I read his comments, I decided it was in the eyes of the beholder what they read into it.

How can you prove it was sarcasm ? If you take his comments literally, he is not guilty. Otherwise most  politicians  would be guilty of alleged sarcasm.

It is getting really silly and childish, he said this and he said that. Lets get on with the football and the results. Someones alleged sarcasm is a sideshow and not likely to put bums on seats. What I like is being entertained, Liverpool and Man City entertain......... they score goals !!!  Now that's football ! Now that's sarcasm.

I agree with Red.

The football authorities sound just like the health and safety doughnuts; regulation for the simple sake of it because they have nothing better to do other than pick their noses, watch porn, play computer games or turn up for work late. At least, to them, this feels like work whereas for everyone else its just an amoebic over-reaction to someone who entertains us with his acerbic, sarcastic and critical remarks. I like the bloke, I always have and long may his comments continue.. in fact I hope all managers copy him for a good week or two to stick one to the jackasses. rant done.. back to work.. hmmmm... that felt good.

His comments were deliberately crafted because he thought he couldn't be charged with anything, but there's clear indication in his words that he's essentially saying referees have been orchestrating against Chelsea.

Unprofessional, untrue and glad he's not escaped punishment from it.

He's one of the best managers in world football and I'm glad to see him back in England but he needs to learn how to lose with dignity.

The best thing is that the decision was spot on, as Jose will well know by now.

A good point. When was the last time Chelsea lost and there wasn't some kind of pantomime at the end of it?

At the time when I heard his comments I decided they were quite clever as 'what could they do' I thought. Obviously they think they can do something after all. It's all a game anyway, and he's master of the mind games.

I think Jose is a Marmite manager, you either like him or he irritates the life out of you. I like him on the whole, but I don't like it when other managers try to imitate him, it just doesn't work.

He using every trick in the book to try to gain an advantage. Most Premiership players push the limits on the pitch, diving etc to win games, there is too much at stake now. Also by getting the attention focused back on himself he successfully deflects it away from his players at crucial times. A clever Pantomime villan.

Indeed they would.

The FA are a law unto themselves.

Wonder if he just sat in silence with a moody glare during his next interview would the FA accuse him of 'he gave us a dirty look'!!!

I can see him wheeling out his Scottish Physio or whoever it was that gave the HT talk recently.

Thing is if you think ref has made a mistake or had a bad game you face a misconduct charge for saying it.

Until the fa get refs out after the game to explain things they are going to be some kind of protected species even give a statement. managers have to say what they saw and then get fined speaking the truth, sometimes not always what they say is right but still have to speak.

Just shows what prats run the FA now. They've just made themselves look mores ridiculous than they are.

Agree 100%. Their time would be better spent promoting and sponsoring grass roots football, sorting out the financial mess that now plagues the game and generally putting something back into the game that they suck blood from.

Charge someone for sarcastic comments...............FFS, what a load of complete tosspots

This is no different to a player sarcastically applauding a decision by a referee.

Mourhino is a narcissist, a hypocrite, a bad winner and worse loser during the first 2 games of the season, I seem to recall Chelsea getting an incredibly dubious penalty against WBA, against Villa should have had 2 players sent off and Terry almost caught the ball in his own area for the most blatant penalty of the season.

Sometime Jose cliches are correct, it evens it self out over the season.

I would like a Referee to say after a game that he thought Mourinho ( or one of the other big mouth managers) had got his tactics wrong or made mistakes with his subs etc.

I wonder how the managers would feel then!

They would hate it,the managers always deflect the blame from them and there players by having a pop at the Referee,I'm sick of it myself.

I would like absolutely the same, sorry mr mourinho it was a deffo pen and if you played 2 up front you might of won.

Be good if they said that but they can't say a thing after the match.

What is reason behind it, refs are now speaking to managers at half time and saying I made a mistake sorry. Why not speak to public at full time?

I'm sure it would shut quite a few of the managers up, if they knew they would get a response from the ref explaining why they made the decisions they did. I'm sure half the managers don't even know half the laws of the game.

If he has a decent set of lawyers, which I am sure Chelsea do, there is no way a charge can stick for what he said.

The charge is ludicrous.

Lawyers? This is football.

If you want everything to go through a court then half the players would be done for assault once every season.

Clubs would be suing other clubs for diving as they cheated causing a financial penalty due to a relegation.

He questioned the ref's integrity, he's being brought to book. Those is the rules.

Chelsea v Sunderland, Sunderland won via a hotly disputed penalty. Most decisions went against Chelsea barring Ramirez's delightful back fist on a Sunderland player (that the ref didn't notice)...

......the referee was definately a Red Scouse git supporter as he's from the Wirral.
