We are taking a team to mangotsfield tomorrow I suspect those players who had limited game time in Botswana, plus those who didn't tour ( gus and lewis) Plus some promising 18s will feature Might be worth a visit ? Any game v them has an edge, semi-decent crowd guaranteed..used to like that fixture. Anyone remember the 'League Group Cup' which was some kind of pre-season competition around '82, I think we played Newport & Torquay, the match programme covered both games, can't remember the details of the competition...maybe somebody remembers more.... Is there any benefit to this? Basically a Saturday training session. I know options were limited due to the demolition at the gate currently but surely something should have been arranged some time ago? Hopefully we wont be off the pace come the start of the season. Things have gone smoothly so far (apart from Ozzy's war wound) and we don't want to pick up any other unnecessary scrapes just a week before the season begins. The thing I find odd pre-season is geared up so the team are ready for game 1, but will not playing for the next 11 days be a hinderance or provided rest at a key time?
