where's the joy Posted July 30, 2014 Author Report Share Posted July 30, 2014 clarrie was a prolific scorer, rugged and intimidating. a leader of the line they used to call it. his sale at the time was as important to city as the cessation of the ashton 8 contracts, were to be later. one year they let birmingham city in early to the east end and they did 'take' it completely. a 16 year old trevor francis played up front for them in a 1-0 win. the fighting was everywhere as 'we' kept charging at them to dislodge their fans. clarrie came round the week after and said 'to think they sold me to create the east end and thats what its become a battle ground for young kids the east end was a lively place to get your kicks from in those days Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
