Robbie_Turner
Guys/Gals - I've been away in Spain last 15 days, and have read thru all the City stuff I can - especially on game day. Now to my question - whilst out here my lad (11 years old and City 1st always) wanted to get the Barcelona top - I persuaded him that for the same cost he could get the whole purple and lime kit that we all love for about the same price as the top only for Barcelona ! If I am reading and viewing correctly thou, I can only order a top ?? How about shorts ? Socks ?? If the club aren't pushing the whole kit - is it any wonder kids roam the streets of Bristol in Man U , Man C and Chelsea kits ?? I thought the whole point of the new suppliers was locally produced, quick supply - meet demand ? What's with all this you can only buy for a certain time when hundreds of people want the kit ?? Over to you guys...
Running Man
You can buy the green goalkeeper shorts and socks, would that make a matching set?
Robbie_Turner
Thanks Running Man, we have looked at that option, just a shame it's not the lime thou - can Dave L explain why this is ?
JammyOne
Thanks Running Man, we have looked at that option, just a shame it's not the lime thou - can Dave L explain why this is ? I'm not Dave L, but I can explain why this is. It's all due to supply and demand - if there's not enough demand for a full kit, they won't produce it for general sale as the costs will be too high. If you had enough people declare a interest, I'm sure they could make a order for them.

Aipearcey
I think if you go in the shop they've still got the shorts for the third kit which are slightly lighter than the goalkeeper shorts.

JM91
I have to say I am also a bit surprised that the club have underestimated the popularity of the kit by so much. Effectively the kit has only been in the shop for 3 hours as the first batch only lasted that long and the second was sold out with pre-orders. Surely with the higher profit margin that comes with Bristol Sport producing the kit the club could do a little better than pre-ordering just the shirt for late November?? I think that kits are a bit much for adults but children do buy shorts and socks so we should really be selling them in sizes medium adult and below to be honest. I personally think that if a third batch of purple and lime (another 450 or so shirts) would go to Bristol Sport then by the end of the season there would be less of that batch remaining that of the original batch of white away shirts. Robin1988
Thanks jammy One, I maybe mistakenly thought that's what this offer was - show us how many people want what and how much and we'll make it ? Evidently the demand for the shirt itself has been unprecedented. It happens in all walks of business, often intentionally.
Night84
Quote from official shop site: "THIS IS A PRE ORDER FOR SHIRTS THAT WILL BE MANUFACTURED TO ORDER AND DELIVERED IN LATE NOVEMBER." Does this mean that the shirts won't be on general sale? You have to preorder and they will only make that amount of kits?

Running Man
My physique is far too Barney like for a purple shirt so settled for traditional red
Scrumpty
I thought it'd be (relatively) cool, if we had inflatable Barneys to waive around when wearing the purple kit. I've looked everywhere, but with no luck. I tried searching for 'blow up Barney' when at work and invoked the interest of the IT security police. Does anyone know where we could source these? Dunc
Just pre-ordered. My first shirt in a few years. Very surprised the club aren't manufacturing more if they're selling that well. Does anyone know if that tenner discount is still on for home shirt and if so until when?

However, I rang up this morning and was given the ST holder discount (10%).
WhistleHappy
If you think we as fans have been slightly overlooked in terms of BSport replica kits for City....... How's about this then.... Up until LAST WEEK(no updates since then, so things might have changed): The BRISTOL RUGBY CLUB SQUAD were still awaiting delivery of their first team kit for this season... BSport surely knew the numbers required and exact demand for them!! Sort it out...
