Alex_BCFC
I believe he is injured from pre-season but we haven't heard anything for ages about him - any news on when he is back?
Ohbasso
I'm pretty sure he's fit, it's just that him and bobby Reid are the two unlucky ones to miss out.
Alex_BCFC
Surely a better option than El-Abd on the bench then?
Monkeh
Surely a better option than El-Abd on the bench then? Going from the oxford game the answer is no
Alex_BCFC
Going from the oxford game the answer is no But then going from that Ayling (plus a few others) would not have played since! Just seems odd as he was one of our better defenders last season. Can't complain with the defence so far...just thought he might be involved more. UK0wnag3
He's this seasons Mitch Brundle. The 19th man.
That Louie Donowa goal
Rate him so highly guess he must wait for his chance and take it.
HoldenBall
Our back 3 at the moment is perfect. Unless there's an injury or a cup game I can't see him playing at all.
ciderbeans
You don't fix something that isn't broke. Defence is spot on and until one of them starts under performing, osbourne will have to wait for his chance. Same as jet
Chivs
Am I the only one who doesn't especially rate Osborne? As a right-back he is woeful with awful positional sense. As the right of a back 3 then he can do a good job but certainly not to be considered above the current incumbents.
samo II
Am I the only one who doesn't especially rate Osborne? As a right-back he is woeful with awful positional sense. As the right of a back 3 then he can do a good job but certainly not to be considered above the current incumbents. When he came in under SC he was very good, though when pushed to right back he did look less great. I think he's a good player, just unlucky not to be in the starting line up early doors, and no way he's forcing his way in now. But this season is a marathon not a sprint; fully believe we'll need him at some point. (Note; realise SC didn't bring him in, I mean the side)
Ohbasso
I rate Osborne and think he's great cover for Ayling or Flint. It's if Williams gets injured I worry as we have no other natural left sided centre back, maybe Ayling could move over as he's seems pretty comfortable on the ball so might not be fazed by it. Know the Score
They are both fully fit and El-Abd when called apon has come on a done nothing wrong. Osborne and Bobby are, said above "the unlucky ones". The team currenly has found a great balance and momentum. The squad is strong and we just need to keep riding this wave for as long as possible. They will get their chance through injury. But when your playing like this, you do get "minimal" injuries because everyone wants to play. I rate Osborne better than most...but I don't think it will matter to the guys on the bench. Jet for example...10 minutes at the end of the game at the moment? But still will et behind the team ethic! It's brilliant.
Super
He'll get his chance, it's a long old season and players will get Injured and suspended. It's up to him whether he can take his chance and keep his place.
Robin1988
Logic dictates we will have a baron spell at both ends at some point. He'll get his chance. Great to know someone of his quality is waiting if needed.
BRISTOL86
If it's not broke.... What does it say to those who are selected when the team changes after taking 20 points from 24? As Super said - he will get his chance, it's a long season and many games to be played. Injuries will happen. Just has to take his chance when he gets it. The Casual Connoisseur
Same situation with Agard, just because we bought him for a lot of money doesn't mean his place is guaranteed. He needs games and he will get them, however if he doesn't perform and start knocking them in, there's the likes of JET on the bench, that's a great position to be in. The Batman
I like him. However, I can only mirror what the majority of those above have said with regards to changing the defence at this moment in time No doubt there will be injuries and the Christmas fixtures where there will be frequent games & SC will have to rotate the squad accordingly, I have no doubt that KO will have a part to play this season. Taylor10
I rate Osborne but we simply can't change the back line. Shouldn't even be a consideration after three clean sheets on the spin.
