This season he's just a bit older with more experience. He's playing with better players in a better more organised team with a good manager who's prepared to give him a run in the team. PLUS he's taken his chance in the team when it came along. Some players can do this. Others, who are "promising" can't make the step up to regular first team appearances - e.g. Bobby Reid.

I don't think he is being given a run in the team out of kindness by SC, he has clearly shown he is a better offensive player than Cunningham, and defensively at Fleetwood he won more than his fair share of headers against a taller opponent.

I think he will be rested at times, and this week may be the time, SC may think that Cunningham might be worth a game to make us more solid defensively, against a free scoring team in MK.
