Still Think We Need Loan Striker?

No I would stick with two up top it seems to be working so far....

Oh wait you said loan not lone!

I would dip into the loan market for a striker if we need it, atm we don't, we have 3 of the divisions top strikers, with the most talented player in the division (imo) hardly getting off the bench (Jet). We bring someone else in it will just push youngsters like burns further away from it, when he should be given a shot. The same for a keeper, fielding has had a decent season so far, if he starts making blunders then we will get someone in I'm sure.

Unless we get an injury Id leave the strikers as is, id rather use burns tbh.  As for a GK, a loan till January woud be good then we can look for a permament one during the window if we need one.  Im not fond of use of loans like ths, there a temporary fix if your squads not good enough in a certain area, ideally I'd like to only see them used to cover an injury, but thats just me.

Technically, we only have 2 strikers in Wilbs and Burns. Agard and Freeman are wingers. I don't care if we have 0 strikers - as long as we score goals and stay top of the league I'm happy.

Although Agard can play wide I wouldn't describe him as a winger. He's roamed out to some wide positions for City but that doesn't make him a winger.

And what about JET? It's difficult to identify his exact best position but he's definitely capable of scoring goals.

No, but then I never thought we did anyway. If Fielding gets injured or really loses form then we'll look at getting a keeper in and likewise with the guys up front.

Right now we're struggling to get anyone other than the starting 11 on the field so wasting money on loan signings would be pointless at the moment.

I still have doubts over Fielding. He is too small to command his area, he makes me very nervous on back passes and he still kicks the ball right on the edge of his area. I always feel he is a mistake waiting to happen. If a better GK option is available then we should look at it, just so we keep improving the squad.

I thought I read that Agard was a striker at youth level but converted to being a right winger.

When he scored the majority of his goals for Rotherham is was a winger, and was moved to an out and out striker mid season.

The only concern that I would have is why wait until we have an injury to make a replacement, why not strengthen the squad now as we are light in that department still - lets not make the same mistake we did when Watford pipped us to the title years ago - by sitting on our laurels and not strengthening the side

As others have said we already have 4 strikers if you class Wes Burns as one, which I do as he plays there for Wales youth teams. Until someone gets injured I think this is fine: 3 senior strikers and Wes.

Got to give the young lads some chance to take responsibility and prove that he is the player we think he can be. Also, bringing in another forward and putting Wes down to 5th in the pecking order can't be good for his confidence in the future.

I am enjoying the fact that we have a settled team and equally that we have n't gone out and got ourselves loan players in.

I want to see young players progressing here.It must be soul destroying for youngsters at Prem clubs when they are constantly loaned out and their prospects dulled by the insistance to buy "ready made" experienced players at their home club.

Same old story as when i was a youngster looking for work .All the employers insisted on experience but how could i get experience without the job .

I've gone straight from having no experience to being too old !
