High Expectations ?

Just consider. Most people including me disappointed we did not win last night , but look how far we have come.

This time last year we were near bottom and every home game was a dreadful expectarion of another defeat!

We are there to be shot now were top and most teams like Bradford , they came for a point , sat deep and counter attacked. Very hard to find space and beak down to banks of 4 and 5. Yes we should have won but sat deep when we got the second goal and the players clearly feel the pressure and expectation of top and were 3 points were needed but that's why there top.

One thing you can't fault is there passing and commitment to run there socks off. Felt we just lacked a bit of quality in the final 3rd.

Stick with the lads they need our backing. To many fans were I was were impatient, moaning and whinging l!

The end result may not have been what we were looking for but I felt that in many ways this performance demonstrated greater levels of possession, fluency from defence to attack and growing confidence to maintain sustained pressure in the second half. In many games..such as MK, Chesterfield and Walsall we have been out played for extended periods in terms of possession and sustained attacking, and I for one have enjoyed these signs of progress. We have demonstrated good individual flair in previous games to run at and through the opposition, with Freeman, Ayling and Little being really positive in this respect but this felt like a more cohesive performance with players looking to find each other through a greater variety of movement and passing. If we can keep creating more movement by drawing the play and making runs into space the team will continue to grow in confidence and learn to manage the game with greater understanding. It looks like this is beginning to happen. I was disappointed not to see a more favourable response to the way in which the team looks more joined up.

Agree. There was a lot of gloom & doom about the result & criticism of several players, but I thought the general approach play was a cut above the usual.
