Major Isewater
We have often been a stepping stone to better things for certain players but who fills you with pride when you see them play for their new club ? For me it's Albert ,i still see him as one of ours and i have an almost Fatherly instinct kick in when i see him play for Boro or Ghana . Who is it for you ? 'Orns
I would have said Andrew Cole, but apparently he skips over his spell here in his autobiography Was always proud seeing Biff play in the top division, and Europe for Norwich
downendcity
Think it has to be David Moyes. For what he achieved in such a short space of time at Man Utd he has the gratitude of fans up and down the country.

HoldenBall
Mainly it's players who played well for us and deserved a step up, like Adomah.. so I'm happy for him definitely, plus players like Scott Golbourne who have in some ways proved our club wrong for getting rid of him

PeterStyvarsRightFoot
Ex players ?? Hard one in the sense of success but for effort even now it's steady .... Not that we nurtured him or anything of the sort but for the amount of determination he puts in, made me proud to say he played for our club ! BS4 on Tour...
Surely Colin Lee??!!! 4 goals against the sags in the infamous 9-0 mauling by Spurs - and wasn't it his Tottenham debut too??!

Not like we ever nutured someone through has made it to the top of the game I'm thinking the same really. Hate to say it but the Gas have HAD many more players leave them for a lot of money and play consistently at a higher level. Fat lot of good it's done them though. Suspect we're off a similar age, met the great man when I was 18 / 19 at some function down the Gate, spent ages chatting to him and Wayne Allison, two lovely blokes My Mum made me a cake for my 18th with a pic of Taylor running away with his arm in the air, would've been the season he hit 30 odd
