Super Scotty Murray
I for one will be very interested to see how these two match up against each other tomorrow. Korey has clearly been a revelation for us but it sounds like Liam has also had a good start to his career with Oldham and they both might have a point to prove to their respective ex-employers! I would think that Liam may well surprise a few people tomorrow afternoon. He never really had the opportunity to prove himself with us mainly through bad luck with injuries. I have a bad feeling that this game is a potential banana skin. Lee Johnson knows City well and they are also on a good run. We have showed signs of weakness in recent weeks defensively and it has to catch up with us eventually. Lets hope I am wrong and we win comfortably with a clean sheet to boot! Go Junior GO
I expect James wilson to have the game of his life for them, although with l johnson saying hes going to attack it could be 3-3 before half time

RedRaw
Lee Johnson knows City well and they are also on a good run. Lee Johnsons time at city is irrelevant and will have no bearing on his knowledge of the management, players or tactics now in place
'Orns
I've had 'that feeling' for the last couple of weeks, my boys keep surprising me though So, I'm going 3-1 tomorrow, Flint, Elliott & Agard
Rocky
Nobody is left from Lee's era, management and backroom staff are different too. He has no advantage over any other manager imo. Liam Kelly is a boo boy for the Oldham fans apparently and hasn't made that much of an impression, I'm sure they would take Korey back any day of the week. James Wilson had the potential and has apparently grown up - we'll see.
BristolBEAT
I've had some bad feelings which have resulted in draw. However I have a good feeling about tomorrow and Johnson is just talking a good game.
cheshire_red
Both Kelly and Wilson are playing superbly for them according to these two threads on an OAFC Board: Kelly http://www.owtb.co.uk/index.php/topic/46088-liam-kelly-a-public-apology/ Wilson http://www.owtb.co.uk/index.php/topic/46103-james-wilson/
cheshire_red
I remember seeing similar comments on the Brentford board some years back about Wilson and his abilities as both a defender and ability on the ball, rarely showed either here, why? Brentford fans absolutely raved over Wilson Chesh, remember that well Too comfy here maybe, the rumoured wage he was on may have had something to do with that (if true!). Liam Kelly is a boo boy for the Oldham fans apparently and hasn't made that much of an impression, I'm sure they would take Korey back any day of the week. That was at the very start of the season, the Oldham fan in the other thread seems more than happy with Kelly now, 'He's got better with every game, wins it, keeps it moving, has a shot. I really like him'. Also a perfect foil for their creative midfielder Jones apparently. As for them taking back Korey Smith instead, who knows? We've seen how impressive he's been so far at City, but I've read Oldham fans saying he disappeared a bit last season when the weather was as it's worst. Let's hope there's nothing in that and it's just sour grapes - or he was even carrying an injury perhaps? - and we have reason to rate Korey just as highly at the end of the season as we do now. Just a little concerning though. At his best Korey looks the better player but Kelly, if nothing else, appeared the epitome of consistency. Carey 6
Don't think he'll shock many, most thought he was a good player whilst here and this seems to be the case at Oldham. I'd still have Smith in City's team over Kelly any day, been class so far!
Running Man
I'd like to think that a few lessons have been learnt from recent games, when to play and when to keep the ball, certainly that sort of talk from the interviews on the website. I'm going for a clean sheet, 2-0.
Mike Hunt-Hertz
I remember going to Boundary Park in the promotion season, expecting a gubbing, and we twatted them 3-0. Even missed a penalty!

Glad he's doing well now though, needless to say I hope he has a stinker tomorrow The interview with Lee Johnson in the Post is quite revealing: "But he has had to work hard on his game and his personality since coming here. He had fundamental flaws in his game when he first arrived and was quite a petulant individual." Sounds like he's had a bit of a rude awakening. Maybe Lee has a good selection of hand grenades at his disposal.

pongo88
I remember seeing similar comments on the Brentford board some years back about Wilson and his abilities as both a defender and ability on the ball, rarely showed either here, why?A lot of young promising players at City never pushed on and achieved their full potential. At any club some will fall by the wayside, but there must have been something wrong with the set up at City in previous years. It sounds as though this is being addressed but only time will tell. I'm more interested in seeing Brian Wilson if he plays. It seems so long ago that he was at City that I'm amazed that he's still going.

Not an exaggeration to say that Lee has saved his career, he was much better than many of the dross successive managers picked ahead of him but it appears he needed taking down a peg or two to prove it. Aussie
Lee Johnsons time at city is irrelevant and will have no bearing on his knowledge of the management, players or tactics now in place I was going to say that too. Our side is quite different from even last season let alone one from years gone by when he was here. I'll welcome him on though. Good servant to the club and a nice guy too. James Wilson seems to have done well since at Oldham and good luck to the guy but for whatever reason, he underachieved here and he knows it. No doubt he'll want to show us what we missed today - and thats where we can play our part. I always felt that he had talent but was not mentally tough and unable to shrug off criticism. If he ever made a mistake (and he did) and the fans groaned (and we did), his game seemed to go to pot. He seemed to me to have a rather frail personality. Perhaps moving away from home has toughened him up? But a personality weakness can never be eradicated, just covered up. The lad is back home today and should be reminded of those bad old days (for him and us). On the NLBR thread there's reference to Bristolian terms which are unknown to lesser mortals around the country. I want to add to that list by suggesting that we give James some 'bolo' today and reawaken his worst nightmares. We have a role to play from the stands and get in his head. Welcome home James ... I was amazed last season when, despite conceding goals at an alarming rate up until christmas, he couldn't even make the bench. Something was obviously wrong behind the scenes with him as he had some great games for us in the championship
Aaron-Bcfc
Back on topic, shame we didn't get to see as much of Kelly as we would've liked, thought he would play a key role this season after recovering from that injury. Smith definitely looks the better player though

Now clearly he saw him in training too but he wasn't unique in not being good enough to stop Rhodes, was he?
