Gandy_Urney
Just read that some Rovers supporters are doing a sponsored 10k to raise money for Oskar. GET INVOLVED! Details on one of their two forums! That'll be us then... Hello all. Nice place you've got here. *looks around nervously* We've managed to get six of us (so far!) to run the Bristol 10k in May on Oskar's behalf. All of us Gasheads. Hopefully this will be given some profile by BRFC (have been in touch with one or two people regarding this) and we have a fundraising page here: https://www.justgiving.com/Rovers10kforOskar Sooooo... I was wondering if any of you lot are runners and whether you'd fancy putting up your own team? We can make it as competitive as we want to so long as we're all pushing for donations to Oskar's fund! What do you reckon? If you're up for it, drop me a message here or on either Gaschat or Gasheads.org (same username on both). Cheers

If count getting to the bar when last orders have just been rung then I am a runner. Dave
I see from the justgiving page, 74% of total reached. Would it not be great if City ran out at Wembley and the target had been reached. COYR

Port Said Red
http://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/oskar-to-lead-out-city-at-wembley-2281542.aspx This lad does seem to have something about him, I am not usually a fan of "singular" campaigns as they can sometimes deflect from the bigger picture. I haven't met Oskar, but his time on the pitch and everything I see about him, shows that he has a big personality and the players and staff seem to have really taken to him. Good luck to the walkers, heading to Wembley, hopefully this trip will be the boost to take his campaign over the required figure. *Edit* Sorry I have just seen the other thread Dolly has resurrected, perhaps this could be merged? frenchred
Another thought! If others do similar is there any person/place we could leave the money with on arrival at Wembley? I'm happy to help but not great at organising!!

Admin phantom Posted February 20, 2015 Admin Report Share Posted February 20, 2015 Frenchred, on the coaches is a good idea. Get each person stewarding the coach to have a collection. Would expect around the ground to be hard to arrange being at a neutral stadium and in Brent council

Posset red
Just messaged some big international pages on Facebook to follow this story hopefully some will post links to story and charity link here's what I've messaged about 8 pages ..... Hello not often I message these sort of pages for help but as a human being I am sure you are very understanding about what I'm going to say. I'm a Bristol city fan and at the moment there is a young fellow red who is currently suffering. He needs to raise 50k to be able to get the treatment he needs in the USA. Currently his charity find stands at 35k and I'm sure if you published this story on your page if 1 out of every 10 people donated what they could it would help a lot all I'm asking is that as your page has a world wide audience I'd be very appreiacive if you could share it here's a link http://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/oskar-to-lead-out-city-at-wembley-2281542.aspxand if you could post his charity page too that would be great https://www.justgiving.com/oskar-70/ many thanks a caring human being.
